Chandra and Veer have successfully managed to find four key pieces. The Lotus Key is almost complete.

But now new players have appeared across the board. Contenders who either have an interest in the key or are involved intimately with it. A lost prince, a wizard of mysterious origins, and an exiled political prisoner. Meanwhile, long-laid-out plots are hatching, spewing their scorching venom, altering the shape of the landscape. Borders merge, differences solidify, and alliances shift.
Veer must do something he has never done before, put his trust in strangers and enemies, starting with his wife, while Chandra must battle with her own demons and insecurities. Will they build on the fragile bond forming between them or will the machinations of others drive them apart?
