Minty laughed. “Oh, yes, we are. Our asses are worth ahellof a lot more than either of you can afford. But since you’re so keen to try, Kyle, I’ll let you try mine for half price.”

Kyle whirled back around. “Shut the fuck up.”

“Oh, free then? A hard bargain, but…” Minty pretended to think. “All right.”

Kyle’s jaw clenched.

“Admit it. You want it,” Minty crooned. “I saw you watching me outside. You are so hot for me.”

Kyle struggled against his friend’s hold.

“Oooh, sexy,” Minty purred. “How did you know I like it rough?”

“Shut up,” I gritted out, cringing back against the wall. My throat felt so tight I could barely pull in a breath, and my vision had gone hazy.

Kyle broke free and came toward Minty, his eyes bright with anger, and his hands outstretched—to grab or choke him? I wasn’t sure. Whatever was about to happen, it wasn’t going to be good.

The bathroom door swung open, and a middle-aged professor strolled in with a grad student at his heels. Coming to a halt just inside, their wide-eyed faces shifted between Minty, still covered in what looked like cum, and the heaving lump of muscle that was Kyle.

“What’s going on in here?” the professor asked.

“Fuck this,” Kyle’s friend said, leaving.

“Is everything okay?” The professor looked at me, and I shook my head.

“You,” Kyle said, pointing at Minty. “Watch your back.” He pushed past the grad student and out the door.

“Hope you’re on my back soon, baby!” Minty called after him, as he turned back to the sink and started to wash off.

The professor’s eyebrows went up. “Want to explain that?”

“It’s fine, sir,” Minty said, splashing water on his face and neck. “Just my boyfriend being a bitch.”

The man glanced to me, and I shrugged, still shaking and sick. I hadn’t come that close to being beaten up since Ihadbeen beaten up.

“All right. If you say so.” With a curt nod, the professor ducked into a stall, and the grad student pissed at a urinal. “Be careful, boys,” the professor added after they’d both washed their hands. “Guys like that can be dangerous.”

“He’s a teddy bear, really,” Minty said. “I promise.”

Both men left, neither looking convinced by Minty’s story. Scrubbing my hands over my face, I collapsed against the wall for support. With my blood still running cold, I stared at Minty in the mirror.

“What?” he asked, meeting my gaze.

“Fuck you. That wasn’t funny. Why did you provoke them?” My voice was rough with fear.

Minty’s eyes took on a harsh sheen. “Because I have terrible taste in men. Didn’t Daniel tell you?”

“Minty…”

“What? He was hot. He wanted to fuck me. I’d have let him.”

“Raped you, maybe.”

“It’s not rape if I want him to do it.” He groaned. “Don’t look at me like that.”

“You don’t want me to look like I care about you?”

“No! Don’t look alljudgmental!” Minty tore off his shirt, washing it out in the sink, and then used the wet material and the hand soap from the dispenser to scrub at his neck. “As if you’ve had such great taste in guys? I mean, Daniel is awesome, of course, but you spenthow longscrewing that other piece of shit?”
