He leaned back against the wall once more with a groan, his steely gaze fixed on the sky as Mortimus flew straight toward us through the dissipating smoke. “If you want to throw yourself off this tower, I won’t stop you, but the least you could do is wait and help us destroy Thorin and the demon who made him.”

“Oh.” I licked my parched lips as rage boiled my blood. “I will make Djall’s death look merciful compared to what I will do to them.”
