He raised her chin to force eye contact. “Exciting, then?”
“Don’t touch me,” she said.
With his other hand, he pulled her close, stroked her lower back and watched with a satisfied leer as she arched and trembled, breath catching. Voice low and reedy, he said, “Not even here?”
She composed herself as best she could with him still clutching her. “How’d you know about that? Quiz my old boyfriends?”
An eyebrow arch, then a haughty smirk. “I had no clue.”
The sad fact was, most of her ex-boyfriendsdidn’tknow about The Spot. She liked to see if they could find it themselves, which had resulted in a disappointing score of two out of eight. Even Jason hadn’t fully caught on yet, though she’d placed his fingers there on several occasions. Hell, themassage therapistshe dated didn’t get it until the second week.
Sever Mark, on the other hand, had discovered it in record time. How could it be that a man who was not only her father-in-law, but also a malignant narcissist who believed he was doing her afavor— had turned out to be the dark horse winner of her still-running Find-My-Spot-a-thon? It wasn’tright.
An unbidden image of him kissing her there, then whipping the place he’d kissed, made her shudder. She tried to wriggle out of his grasp, but he held her tight against him.
Passing his thumb over her spot once more, he said, cheek pressed to hers, “Try not to think of me when you come tonight.”
She tore away from him and didn’t look back.
Once inside the elevator, she leaned against the wall to catch the breath she didn’t realize she was holding. A tear fell from her eye, then another, and another. She wasn’t sure where they were coming from. It had to be because she finally had a break from his relentless hounding.
It had to be.
It couldn’t be the fact that his touch made her body ache; that his words made her rethink the trajectory of her entire life. Itcouldn’t.
Outside of her apartment, she quickly checked her reflection with her phone, and with a final swipe of her cheeks, she unlocked the door.
Jason was on the couch, surrounded by paperwork. When he noticed her, his mouth went a little slack, and he let out a shocked laugh. “Whoa.”
“Oh.” Ivy remembered her ridiculous get-up. “I know, I look like a gumdrop. I’m gonna go change, and... delouse.”
“No!” He stood up. “Don’t. Please. Please, don’t.”
She was surprised. So, the Mark men had something in common after all. Besides her. “You like this?”
He swept his hands up her back, wove his fingers in her hair and answered her with a lusty kiss.
She rodehim on the floor, the dress crumpled at her waist. He held her firmly by the hips while she bounced vigorously, one hand digging into his chest while she used the other to paw at her own breasts and squeeze her nipples.
Sex on her terms. That’s how it was with them. And if she was ever withhim...
With him...
With...
I’m not thinking of you… I’m not thinking of you… I’m NOT–
“Oh, fuck,” Jason said, “you’re sowet...”
She covered his mouth, shut her eyes, and ground against him, circling her hips, agitation mounting with each stroke. With each landing slap, Jason let out an ecstatic grunt, and Ivy couldn’t help but think of what Sever’s grunts would sound like, not that they would ever, ever, never?—
—Tell me what you want, what you crave more than anything I want you to myself
Ugh, that leer... That face; those eyes... thatthumb...
“Put your thumb here,” she said between gasps, hastily guiding Jason’s hand to her Spot. He didn’t hear or understand, didn’t do it right, and she had no time toTry not to think of me when you Scream like a dying flower
As his words echoed around her, she edged closer and closer until she felt her body tense. She rocked against him once, twice, three times, and let out a long, pained wail.
