I almost fall flat on my face when I rush over to the long mirror behind her, crawling. My face falls; there’s a fucking hickey on my neck and another on my jawline! My lips are swollen, but I still break into a big, goofy grin.

“I had fun.” I nod and my cheeks burn as the memories of Dylan drilling into me invade my thoughts.

Forget Greek gods and Vikings. Dylan is built like an Aztec god. He’s all muscle and wrath with a hefty dose of sin. He took me passionately as lightning exerted from his hands and lust from his midnight eyes. Even his fucking calves are sexy. Thoughts of his naked body fill my mind, and I ache to sink my teeth into each one of his steely muscles, beginning with those calves. If I had him in front of me right now, I’d climb my lips all the way up toward his massive tattooed shoulders and rigid arms and—

“Good!” Jas interrupts and I blink.

Out of all the guys I’ve fucked, no one has possessed me the way Dylan has. My stomach suddenly growls, and Jas and I both laugh. I’m not sure if it's hunger for food, Dylan, or both.

“I ate the last of the leftovers we had from Helena.”

Dylan’s key stabs me as I sit back on my calves, and I tap at it. “Let’s go raid Dylan’s kitchen.”

“I cannotbelievehe gave you a keyand a phone!”

Jasmin is thumbing through the device, adding applications as she sees fit. She added Jule’s number and texted him. He responded, explaining that he would be home no later than six.

I did as Dylan advised and rummaged through his kitchen. Finding the ingredients I needed to make rice, breaded chicken breast, and a salad. I place a plate in front of Jasmin, who’s sitting on a stool at the long marble island. I flip the tortillas, and once they’re ready, I toss them on a plate and place them between us. I hand her a can of Coke and turn to cut open an avocado.

Once I take my seat, she and I dig in.

“I know, too soon, right?” I leave out ‘he’s fucking crazy,’ because I’m afraid she’ll agree. But her next words surprise me.

“He’s good for you.”

It isn’t the first time she’s told me this. “So… it’snottoo soon?”

“I’m not saying you should move in with the guy, get married, and have babies. All I mean is that he’s your match.” She shrugs and stuffs her mouth, humming in appreciation.

My new phone buzzes and we both hover over it.

“It’s a text fromyour man,” Jasmin teases. “Answer him!”

My man. Somewhere inside, a thrilled diva jumps up anddown. I just hold my stomach in place. I feel like something is going to claw its way out of me. Butterflies?

Trembling fingers unlock the thing.

I blush, and Jasmin chuckles. “What’s he saying?”

I clear my throat and lock the device. “That he’s glad we’re here.”

“Uh huh.Right.” She drags out the last word, and I avoid looking at her.

We finish our meals and clean up. I save a plate for Dylan and put it in the oven, and then wrap up the rest for Jule.

“Listen to my gut, Justice. This oneis your guy.”

We exit Dylan’s trailer, and I’m about to tell her all about how I feel when we spot Noah at the foot of our door glaring at us. He climbs down the steps and stuffs his hands in his pockets.

“You think he saw us leaving your rookie’s trailer?”

“I don’t give a shit if he heard me screaming Dylan’s name this morning.”

Jasmin coughs back her laughter and shakes her head at me. She takes the food from my hands and nudges me with her elbow. “If you need me, just holler.”

I nod at her and cross my arms over my chest. She gives me one last look to make sure I’m okay before disappearing into our home.

“You gave menothing, and I’ve been here since we were brats. Then he shows up and you give him all of you.”
