She was so wet already, and would always be wet like this for me. I wanted to devour her but I was so hard it was painful. I moved back up so that I could grind my erection against her wetness and watch her writhe under me. I kissed her again, but slowly this time. “Are you sure, Katie?” I asked one more time as I pressed my tip against her opening.
“Yes, please, Kai,” she whimpered, wrapping her legs around my hips and pulling me into her.
“Fuck,” I gasped as I slid into her.
She tensed as I pushed all the way in until I could push no further. She was so tight. I thought I was going to cum right then and there.
Her hands grabbed onto my back and she whimpered again, tears slowly falling from her eyes. “Please,” she whispered, and that was all it took to convince me.
I moved slowly at first until her body relaxed, and then began to thrust harder and deeper, her hips rocking up to meet me every time. I couldn’t stop kissing her lips, my tongue exploring every part of her mouth. She moaned my name and I felt her come undone around me. Her walls tightening and spasming , squeezing me, were my undoing. I thrust two more times and tried to pull out before I came but she locked me against her with my legs.
“Katie, relax your legs. I’m going to cum,” I moaned, still thrusting hard into her.
“Cum for me, Kai.” she whispered against my ear as she held me tighter.
I swear I saw stars, as my orgasm ripped through my body. I pushed into her as deep as I could and came inside of her. My body trembled as my cock twitched and emptied itself.
“Haah… I didn’t have a condom, Katie,” I told her, realizing what we had just done as my body relaxed against hers.
She hummed against me as I rolled and pulled her to lie on my chest. “I’ll trust you, Kai,” she whispered against my skin.
How could she say things like that? After all of these years. I laid there holding her until I heard her breaths even out, letting me know that she had fallen asleep again. I pulled the blanket over her body and allowed myself to drift off as well.
I woke up to bright sunshine coming through the window. I reached out for the body that had been next to mine and realized that I was alone in my bed. I sat up and looked around the room. Her clothes were gone.
I jumped out of bed, pulling on my shorts and I went through the house looking for Katie. She wouldn’t use me like that, right? I found a note on my counter: “Call me when your phone is fixed. You owe me breakfast.”
I laughed out loud, staring at her neat, bubbly handwriting. This woman was not running back to me. Katie was going to make me work for everything I had done to her. Taking the note with me back to my room, I set it on my night stand and walked to the master bath to get a shower. I was late for work and didn’t give a shit, smiling as I stepped under the hot water. She was back.
Chapter 29
Katie’s POV
For the second time today, I woke up lying across Kai’s chest. I pulled away slowly. There were so many emotions exchanged this morning, I couldn’t breathe thinking about it. I couldn’t believe that I had sex with him. We hadn’t seen each other in a freaking decade, and I jumped into bed with him the first time we met. At the same time, everything felt… right.
“Shit,” I whispered so quietly, as that realization settled in. Sliding out of his bed, I found my bra tangled in the sheets. I slipped on my bra and shirt while I snuck out of the room with my shorts and panties in hand.
We did nothing wrong. I repeated to myself as I pulled the remainder of my clothes on, standing outside his room. I didn’t want to just leave, so I left him a note saying to call me when his phone was fixed. I placed it in the center of the kitchen island where he couldn’t miss it, before I snuck out the back door.
I walked to the end of his street and then started jogging back toward town. Thank god, I had my phone with me. I called Andie, and she picked me up when I was halfway back.
My face was flushed, and I was sweaty all over when I climbed into the passenger seat. “Can we stop for some food? I haven’t eaten yet,” I asked, looking out the window.
“Sure. I’ll stop and grab you breakfast,” she responded. Suddenly, the car lurched to the right shoulder and she slammed on the brakes; my body jolting forward against the restraints.
“What the fuck, Andie?!?!” I yelled, looking over at her.
“Me? You asked me to pick you up after a booty call with your ex and want to pretend like nothing happened? Ask me to get you breakfast? What the fuck have you done with my, Katie!?” She yelled, staring at me wide eyed.
I was speechless. I just stared at her and couldn’t form any words. She reached forward and wiped my cheeks. I didn’t even realize I was crying. “Are you okay?” She whispered, petting my hair back from my face.
“I don’t know?” I replied truthfully. A part of me felt peaceful, and the other felt like I had betrayed my husband. My dead husband. I felt like I was dying all over again, because a part of me really liked being with Kai. He made me feel safe.
“I think I messed up…” I whispered before crying harder.
Andie pulled me into a hug. “Shhhh. You did nothing wrong. This is okay. I didn’t mean to yell at you. I’m sorry. I wasn’t trying to shame you for being with Kai. I am so sorry, Katie. Please don’t think you did anything bad. You didn’t. I don’t think anything bad of this at all. I was just teasing,” she apologized profusely.
I couldn’t stop the meltdown. Hearing her apologize to me, and telling me that I did nothing wrong just broke the dam. The last thing I remembered was Andie pulling me into a fiercer hug. When I woke up, I was in the bed in her guest room; Avery and Aiden sound asleep beside me.
