Page 105 of Five Days to Be Mine

“You’ll figure it out and I'm here to help, Mara. Do you need full-time staff?”

“Honestly, not until we are building the pieces. Ideally, I need an assistant, someone who can help me with the day-to-day stuff.”

“Pick your assistant.” Evan raises an eyebrow.

“You make this sound so easy.”

“It is.” Evan shrugs. “What’s hard about it?”

“That you’re financing it.”

“Don’t make me give you another spanking, Mara. I thought you were accepting this.”

“I am.” I take a nibble of food. “It’s just in one swoop you made my dream come true.”

“Good.” Evan’s dark eyes meet mine. “We’ll have a sit down with Noel and someone from our business team. I'll get everything in writing for you.”

My stomach forms a ball of knots. “I did write a business plan. Want to see it?”

Evan pushes away his plate. “Yes! Why didn’t you tell me?”

“I don’t know. I feel shy about it,” I mumble.

But I bring up the plan on my phone and hand it to him.

I’m so strung tight as Evan taps a few keys, then picks up his iPad. “I sent it to myself. Cotter’s Creations. I like it.”

“It’s dumb. I probably shouldn't go with it.”

Especially if my mom got a ping on her card and it was to do with my dad.

“I needed to call it something at the time.”

He puts up a hand to stop me and I feel like I'm waiting to be graded.

“This is the most concise plan I've seen in a long time. But you’re going to need more money than you estimated. I don’t think you’re giving yourself enough credit, either.”

“I wanted to be cautious.”

Evan strides across the room, snakes his hand under my hair and kisses me, hard. “Be brave, Mara. With your boss's business falling apart, there is opportunity there. If you have that contact list, I would call everyone on it and tell them that you are up and running.”

My cheeks flush because I hadn't thought of that.

“I’ll have an initial document drawn up today stating that you own this business a hundred percent and I'm your investor. Any more questions?”

My stomach flutters. “You know…when I told you that rope was off the table?”

“Yeah?” Evan touches my shoulder.

“Can we…I mean, I want to try that with you.”

“You’re killing me, princess. If I didn’t have to get back to work, I'd tie you up right now and give you so many orgasms you forget your name, but that’s something for later. Anything else?”

“Were you serious about planning that primal scene?”

He leans in, his dark eyes piercing mine, and wraps a piece of hair around his finger and tugs. “Yes.”

“Good. I want that.”
