“So, what is it that we are doing today that caused you to dream your little dirty dreams?” I took a sip of the French press coffee and the cup clanked against the delicate saucer as I placed the cup back down.

“Who said they were little?” He winked. “Well I thought today could be a day of exploration. Are you up for a hike first?”

My eyes lit up because I loved the outdoors and this was right up my alley. I smiled and nodded yes.

“Let’s get some sun and fresh air…then, some more playing since you made that very clear last night of your little confessional.”

“But I’m so curious now.” I wined. “Tell me now!”

“You’ll see.”

I groaned and rolled my eyes playfully.

“I don’t know if you know this or not about me but I’m pretty impatient about surprises.”

“Well, sorry about that. You’ll just have to mind your britches and wait.” He winked.

Oh, I love those southern sayings. It felt good to actually hear them again. Another reason I was so fond of him. My heart smiled as big as Texas.

The morning air was crisp against my skin and I took in what I was seeing. Rocks, giant fragrant rain forest trees, the sounds of wildlife and creatures. Life was alive in the foothills of this mountain. I couldn’t believe that parts of Maui, Hawaii looked like this. It was like a complete rainforest. There wasn’t a hiker in sight and we were on our way to a waterfall.

I wore an all black workout spandex set comprised of black tight leggings, and a black tight tank top and pink Nike shoes that had been provided for me in my packed suitcase. It made me smile. I could get used to this treatment of having endless, matching, perfect clothes waiting to be happily worn. But that wasn’t even the cherry on top.

He was.

And there he was talking away about philosophy and what he learned when he traveled and visited monks.

Moments later we were at the edge of a breathtaking waterfall and we sat near the rocks.

He stroked his smooth chin as he fingered his hair back, his long locks hanging more freely today and he looked so sexy like that.

Water falling from hundreds of feet into a pool of chilly water. Rocks surrounding the enclave of water. It was a romantic sight and instantly made you want to dive in and go skinny dipping, letting the cool refreshing water kiss every inch of your body.

We sat down on a giant rock at the foot of the water and I watched him unpack a basket and uncork a bottle of Crystal. He poured it into gold-rimmed flutes.

“Because bubbly makes everything cheers worthy.”

He handed me a flute. “Cheers.” Our flutes clanked and we looked at each other in the eyes. “So you’re aware of the cheers rule.”

“Oh yes I am. No bad sex for me!”

“Sex could never be bad with you.” I confessed and then bit my bottom lip feeling shy suddenly.”

We sat in a moment of silence taking in the beauty that surrounded us.

“Ask me something. Ask me anything.”

“Last relationship.”

His eyes fell and looked off to the side.

“Okay, we’re going to make a game of this. You ask the question, I answer honestly. I drink. Same to you.”

“Okay. This will be a first with champagne. I always played this game with liquor in college.”

Something shifted in his eyes.
