My cock twitches in my pants. The sensation is a mixture of desire for her and the fire. But she won’t be here tonight. She’s not working.
The need to have her underneath me consumes me. She was made to be mine.
She is mine. She knows this, too. She continues to tease me, and for now, I’ll let her.
I’ve just got to be patient. Our time is near.
Not wanting to see my beautiful creation extinguished, I do something I’ve never done before.
I step out of the alley onto the sidewalk and head home.
Chapter eighteen
Alexis
“Lionel, for the last fucking time, stop calling me. Don’t text me, or stop by my apartment. Hell, don’t even think of me. We are done. If you’re looking for someone to fill your bed or marry, then go to Courtney. You had no problem cheating on me with her.”
I don’t give him a chance to answer before I end the call and immediately block his number.
He’s harassed me nonstop the entire time I was away. Apparently, he stopped by the firehouse to catch me at work when I wouldn't answer the door, only to find me not there. When I get back, I’m killing Dalton for telling him I opted to keep my vacation time.
“God, does the dickhead not understand English?”
Taira’s snarky voice breaks the silence as we head through the airport to the shuttle area.
“I don’t know. He’s blocked now. So hopefully he gets the hint. Otherwise, every time my doorbell rings or there’s a knock, I’ll have to check to see who’s there.”
“That’s no fucking way to live, Alex. If he comes to your apartment, get a damn restraining order. He’s unhinged. If he hurts you, I don’t know what I’d do.” Taira takes hold of my arm and stops in the middle of the busy crowd so she can look me in the eye, causing people to grumble.
“He’s harmless, Taira.” As much as I want to believe what I’m saying, I don’t. The Lionel I’m witnessing now isn’t the same man I knew before. This man is capable of anything.
Taira clenches her lips and squints her eyes, but she doesn’t say anything else. She keeps her argument to herself as we continue to make our way to the shuttle.
I messaged the guys just before our plane took off with my address and the time I was expected to be home. Their excitement was overwhelming, especially when they offered to pick us up from the airport.
I declined, wanting… no—needing to take a shower and freshen up before I see them again.
Talking with someone via messages is much different from being face to face. I can hide behind the screen and become a brazen vixen, but in person, I already know I’m going to be shy, at least until I know them more.
“So, still seeing the hotties tonight?” she asks, her tone playful as she bumps her shoulder into me.
“I am. Then I’m going on individual dates to get to know them better.” I smile, my voice rising with excitement.
“Fuck yes, bitch. Two men to spoil you rotten. When do I get to meet them? Do they have brothers? Friends? I want my own harem of men. I need like four or five. Big, strong, burly men who can throw me over their shoulder and smack my ass when they do.”
“Wait what happened with what’s his name?” It just dawns on me she hasn’t been talking about him lately.
“It didn’t work out. It’s all good. The more I learned about him, the more I realized he wasn’t for me. I need a real man or six.” She winks.
I can’t help but laugh. Looking over, her eyes are sparkling as she swoons, and I make a mental note to ask them after I get to know them better.
“I’ll make sure to ask, however, I make no promises. But Donovan and Dimitri are firmly off limits.” I give her a stern glare.
Taira stops dead in her spot, just as we make it to the shuttle pick up point. She stares at me with her mouth open, her hand on her hip. “You fucking skank ass whore. Do I look like a man stealing bitch? Last time I checked, me and the cuntasaurus Courtney look nothing alike.”
“I’m just messing with you. You’ve more than proven your loyalty to me.”
“You’re damn right I have.” I bump her shoulder as we both burst out laughing.
