“Good. Let’s eat. I’m starved.”
With only one plate, fork, and glass, we shared everything. Sometimes I fed him and sometimes he fed me. It was rather intimate in a very nonsexual way.
“I thought we could go into town and do a little shopping today. How does that sound?” he asked.
He knew how much I loved shopping. “I’d love that. Maybe I can find a new outfit. Or a handbag. I’ve been needing something to go with that blue dress.”
Logan grinned but didn’t say anything. He didn’t enjoy shopping all that much, but he liked to humor me.
I gave him a chaste kiss and whispered, “Thank you.”
He cupped my face and rubbed his thumb along my cheek. “Don’t worry. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to thank me before the day is over.”
A shiver of excitement ran through me. Logan never made promises he couldn’t keep.
We finished eating and I cleaned up while he went into the bathroom. It didn’t take me long to wash and put everything away in the kitchen. He’d only used one skillet and a bowl to mix the ingredients.
Logan was brushing his teeth when I walked into the bathroom. We’d lived together for almost six months, so we were used to sharing space. Teeth brushing I could handle. Going to the bathroom in front of him was a different matter altogether.
He rinsed his mouth out and turned off the water. “I’m going to run upstairs and get my razor. Do what you need to do and be waiting for me when I get back.”
I breathed a sigh of relief that he wasn’t going to make me go to the bathroom in front of him and hurried to do my business before he returned.
Following his instructions, I was standing there waiting for him when he walked back into the bathroom holding his shaving bag. He set it next to the sink and reached for my hand.
I let him guide me to stand in front of the counter next to the sink. Then he took hold of my waist and lifted me to sit on the cold surface. The new position placed the top of my head at his eye level.
Logan picked up his shaving bag and handed it to me. “Have you ever shaved a guy’s face before?”
“No.”
“Guess you’re going to learn.”
I opened the bag and looked at the razor and shaving cream then at Logan’s face. How hard could it be, right? I’d used a razor before on myself. Granted, it had been a long time, but I was sure it was like riding a bike. It would all come back to me. I hoped.
All things considered, I didn’t do too bad. I only nicked him twice and both times it was because he’d distracted me. How was I supposed to concentrate when he had his hands so close to the good stuff?
“Not bad,” he said, admiring my handiwork.
“Sorry I cut you.”
He grinned. “I’m sure I can find a way for you to make it up to me.”
And with that he picked me up and carried me into the shower. It was another two hours before we left the cabin.
Chapter 5
Logan
One of the best things about this weekend was that there wasn’t anywhere either of us had to be. We could come and go as we pleased. It didn’t matter if we left the cabin over an hour later than I’d anticipated.
I had her wear panties under her skirt today. She’d be trying on clothes and possibly sitting in some unsanitary places. It was an unknown that I wasn’t willing to leave to chance.
The drive into the little town of Grand Marais only took ten minutes. I could see the excitement in Lily’s eyes as we pulled up in front of one of the small boutiques in the center of town.
After helping her out of the vehicle, we made our way inside. The store reminded me of a wide hallway. It wasn’t wider than a two-car garage, but it was long. The racks of clothes seemed to go on and on. This, of course, made Lily extremely happy.
An older woman walked up to us and smiled. “Good morning. Is there anything I can help you find?”
