We finished with breakfast and I went to get ready. I was in the process of going through my closet looking for something to wear when Logan knocked on my door. “I have what you’re to wear laid out on the bed.”

Nodding, I followed him into the bedroom we normally shared. There on the bed was a blue skirt with lace trim around the hem and a white shirt with a V-neck. It was a cute outfit... something I would have picked out for myself. Considering Logan wasn’t all that into fashion, I figured he’d had some help.

“I’ll leave you to get ready,” he said. “Meet me in the living room when you’re done.”

Chapter 2

Logan

It was almost ten by the time Lily walked into the living room. She wasn’t the fastest at getting ready, but the end results were usually worth it. When she appeared in the little blue skirt I’d picked out for her, she had her hair and makeup done to perfection and I could smell her favorite perfume wafting up from between her cleavage. I was going to have so much fun with her this weekend.

She came to stand in front of me, a look of complete innocence on her face.

I wasted no time reaching underneath her skirt to see if she had followed my instructions not to wear any panties. Sure enough, my fingers met silky flesh. “Very good.”

Lily pushed against my fingers, looking for friction.

I removed my hand and laughed. “Ah, not yet. You’re going to have to wait.”

Her lower lip jutted out into a pout, but she didn’t comment.

“Come on. We have a ways to drive and I want to get there before dinnertime.”

Traffic was minimal as I headed out of town and onto I-35. It would take us about four and a half hours to get to Grand Marais, but I planned on stopping for a long lunch in Duluth. It would give us a chance to stretch our legs a bit before the last leg up to the cabin. I’d paid extra to have it stocked with groceries for us so we wouldn’t have to go out again tonight.

“We need to help Stephan find someone.” The statement from Lily came out of nowhere an hour into our drive.

“Somehow I think Stephan can find his own woman,” I said, not taking my eyes off the road.

“’Cause he did such a bang-up job last time.”

I shook my head. “You need to stay out of it, Lily. Stephan wouldn’t appreciate your meddling.”

She huffed. “I know. It’s just that I worry about him. All he does is work, work, work. He needs to have some fun once in a while.”

I knew she was right, but I didn’t want to encourage her. “He went to the party Calvin and Tessa had at their house last month.”

Lily snorted. “Talking business with Lacy doesn’t count.”

“Stephan’s always kept to himself. You know that. But if he finds someone he’s interested in, he’ll make his move.” I knew she was about to say something, so I cut her off. “Without any help from you.”

“You’re no fun.”

I laughed. “And you like to stick your nose where it doesn’t belong. Stephan can take care of himself.”

She grew quiet again and looked out the window at the passing scenery. “I don’t know if I’ve ever been up this way before.”

“Richard used to take Stephan and me up here to fish sometimes. There are some great spots with so much wilderness area.”

“How old were you?” she asked.

“Fourteen? Fifteen? It pretty much stopped once Stephan and I got our licenses.”

Lily chuckled. “Too cool to hang out with Stephan’s uncle?”

“Nah. There were just better things to do, like troll for girls.”

It was her turn to shake her head. “I keep trying to picture the two of you out on the prowl. Cocky. Overconfident. And completely inexperienced.”
