"Shall we go? Club or home?" Raff asked, his eyes darting between Jessica and me.
"Club!" My sister squealed, clinging to Raff's arm with excitement.
They were mistaken if they thought I was going to a club with them. Not unless I could get some Charlie. I was knackered, and my body ached. Raff read my mind, sighing as he nodded at me.
I know where we can go.
"Alright," I said, eyeing Jessica as she frowned. "What's wrong?"
"Well, it's just that…." Again, she bit her lip, and again my dick jumped to attention.
This girl had some fucking power. Maybe she was a witch.
"Carlisle might be there."
"So?" I asked in a bored tone, itching to get hold of my next hit.
"So, I'm walking in with two guys—"
"Hot guys," Raff interrupted, high-fiving me. "Am I right?"
"Damn straight.” I laughed, turning back to Jessica, her exquisite green eyes now clouded with doubt. "Ah, come on, if he says anything, I'm just out with my big sister as long as he doesn't see you sitting on me—"
"Unlikely." Ellie snorted as Jessica shook her head at me.
What is it with her disappointment in me?
Fuck her.
"I'm joking. It'll be cool," I stated firmly, standing. "Let's go then. I can get us in for free."
"At Palais?" Jessica asked, her eyes wide.
"Palais?" I wrinkled my nose up, scoffing. "No, I know somewhere much better. So prepare to be enlightened."
Twenty minutes later, we stood in the Lace Market in a cold and wet alleyway. Jessica and Ellie looked dubious when I reached down to open a dirty cellar door, the hinges creaking as I heaved it open.
Stone steps materialised from the darkness, a faint golden glow lighting up the small hallway.
"After you?" I offered, holding my hand out for my sister and Jessica.
"No way am I going down there first. It looks like some sort of serial killer's lair." Jessica laughed nervously.
"Love, if I were to kill you, I'd fuck you first. So you're fine."
"Logan!" Ellie hissed, elbowing me in the ribs as I yelped out with pain.
Her eyes widened as she apologised, stepping past me into the cellar.
"Are you alright?" Jessica mumbled, ignoring my previous comment.
"Fine, just go.” I exhaled as Raff followed Ellie.
I tugged the doors shut behind me, my biceps protesting as they bore the door's weight. I loved the smell of it down here, all dusky and damp.
I followed the others until we reached a bored-looking dude with sunglasses on, reading a newspaper. He sat on a foldaway chair, which was much thinner than he was.
"Tray," I greeted him.
