He grinned proudly, “Of course, Olly and I wanted to match our girl on her special day.”
She giggled, “Well, you both look very handsome.”
Olly woofed and nudged her hand happily. He was now too large to carry and was nearly a full-sized Golden Retriever. The vet had told them that he was already overweight, and Gabby had been given a stern warning by her Daddy to stop giving him treats. Olly was on a strict three treats and two meals a day diet. Poor pup.
“Alright, let’s get a move on, baby. You don’t want to be late for your own party.”
Sean grabbed her small backpack that he always kept stocked with a pacifier, a bottle, and a sippy cup, just in case she needed them whenever they were out and about.
He loaded her into the new SUV that Sean insisted on buying. When he picked it out, he said that there was more room for Olly to get in and out. She suspected he actually bought it for her to use since he kept his Lexus sedan and continued to drive that whenever he was going somewhere without the dog.
After he buckled her in, he gave her a gentle kiss and lingered for just long enough that she had to squeeze her thighs together. She had never thought she would be a sexual person, but with her Daddy, she couldn’t get enough. He always ensured they were in a position where she didn’t feel trapped. Usually she was on top of him, which made her feel like a powerful goddess, or he was bending her over the side of the bed, and occasionally they were both lying on their side with her as the little spoon.
He was excellent in bed and always made sure her pleasure came first. Often he would give her pleasure just for the sake of giving her pleasure, without expecting anything in return. The man was practically a saint. Actually, she was pretty sure he was sent to her by a greater power because he was absolutely perfect for her in every way and never stopped showing all the different ways that he loved her.
She asked questions about her party as they drove through the city, but he ignored them while keeping an amused smile on his face. When he pulled into the parking lot of The Playground, she looked over at him with confusion. It was daytime, but there were several cars in the parking lot, and the only two she recognized were Zane’s and Ian’s.
“Ready, baby?”
Reaching over to grab her hand, he lifted it to his mouth and kissed the back of her knuckles. She was trembling slightly, but it was more from excitement than anything else.
“Ready, Daddy.”
Sean helped her out of the car and opened the back hatch to let Olly out. When they walked into the club, it was quiet, and most of the lights were off. He took her hand and led her through the building, back toward the Littles’ area.
As soon as he opened the door, she heard voices, and when she stepped inside she found that the entire room had been transformed into a tea party setting. Gasping with surprise and excitement, Gabby looked around the room at the long table, set with tiny plates and fancy teacups. There were tiered platters in the middle of the table filled with miniature sandwiches, fruit, and pastries, and there were elegant-looking teapots in between the platters.
Looking up at her Daddy with wide eyes, she fought back the tears that sprang to her eyes.
“Happy birthday, baby girl.”
Throwing her arms around his waist, she nuzzled into him, only pulling back when she heard excited barks that were not coming from Olly. When she looked down, the ugliest-looking dog she’d ever seen was at her side. It was missing about half of its fur and only had one eye, but even as ugly as it was, Gabby couldn’t help but fall in love instantly.
Maddie walked up behind the dog, grinning from ear to ear.
“Is he yours?”
Bouncing up on the balls of her feet, she nodded her head and clapped her hands.
“Yep, Daddy and I picked him up from the shelter yesterday. Isn’t he adorable?”
Gabby nodded and reached out to let the dog sniff her.
“What’s his name?”
“I named him Scrum like the one-eyed, stitched-up doll from Lilo and Stitch. The shelter said his name was Carl, but he didn’t respond when I called him by that name, so I renamed him. Daddy thinks he’s hideous.”
She giggled and looked over at Ian, who was rolling his eyes and shaking his head, but he had a grin on his face. Then she noticed that Maddie was in a yellow dress that was the exact same as her own besides the color, and Ian was wearing a matching yellow button-down shirt.
As she observed the rest of the people in the room, she saw Zane, Jace, and Damian, who were all wearing the same pink button-down shirts that her Daddy was wearing. Then she moved her gaze to two other women who she didn’t recognize standing next to each other. One was wearing a light blue dress, and the other was wearing a lavender dress.
They both smiled and waved.
“Oh, Gabby, meet my friends! This is Ally in the blue and Haylee in the purple, and those are their Daddies over there, Luke and Kane.”
Gabby looked over at the two men that Maddie was pointing to, and she instinctively tightened her grip on Sean’s hand.
The man wearing a blue button-down shirt looked intimidating and large, but when he smiled, his features softened, and he didn’t seem so scary. But when she looked at the man next to him who was wearing a lavender button-down shirt, the rest of the men in the room looked like teddy bears compared to him. He looked like he was scowling, even though she was pretty sure he wasn’t, and he was huge and muscular, and for some reason, he reminded her of Damian, only a bit scarier.
