“You guys are having twins? Meadow and I were right! Congrats, man!” Hunter said and slapped me twice on the shoulder. “Do you know if they are boys, girls, or one of each?”
“We’re still going to let that be a surprise,” I answered him. “I can’t wait to tell my brothers. They are going to freak out!”
“What are you waiting for?” he asked me.
“Because I need to see her and be near her as soon as possible.”
“Fuck, man.”
“Bro, I thought she was dead. I legit wouldn’t let myself think it out loud, but it was in the back of my mind. I don’t know what I would have done if she and the babies weren’t okay.”
Montgomery nodded. “I’ll admit I was scared she wasn’t okay, too. But I am so glad she is. Let’s go find your woman.”
We began walking across the street towards the motel. “So, uh, did Meadow come with her?”
I let out a chuckle,“Molly’s bestie isn’t here with her, sorry. Just Penelope and her kids. Maybe you should break up with Chloe and then make a pass at Meadow.”
“She’s in New York,” Hunter said with a shrug. Not a great excuse. “Plus, she’s practically engaged. I’m not messin’ with that. I was just wondering if she was here.”
I just rolled my eyes. “Monty, brother, Chloe lives in North Carolina while you are here. You're used to long distance. That is not an excuse. But you do you, man.”
We arrived at the motel and opened the door. Montgomery ignored what I said and just thanked me again for letting him have the room to himself.
“Thank my girl. She’s paying for our room. I’ll see you in the morning.”
“Don’t forget we have early practice at 8:00 before our day game tomorrow. Don’t stay up too late.”
“Yeah, okay…” I said and headed to the stairs to take them to the second floor to find room 217, where my wife was waiting.
While I waited for Ty to finish showering at the stadium, I watched the news to see what I could find out about the tornado. I couldn’t believe our town had been hit, and we had no clue. I was so thankful that we were okay.
“The violent and deadly twister that leveled Riverbend, Ohio, this afternoon clocked in as a rare EF4 tornado on the Enhanced Fujita scale. At least 22 people were killed from today's devastating tornadoes across the Midwest, including eight people from Riverbend,” the news anchor said from the newsroom.
The camera then panned out to a reporter at the damage site. She stood in front of what I realized was Main Street, and all I could see were half buildings and a lot of debris. My heart sank as I tried to locate where Batter Up! should be, as well as the other buildings I had been a frequent customer of. I couldn’t make out anything familiar, and I just watched the reporter in shock.
“This is Danielle Johnson with RBTV Channel Five reporting from Riverbend, Ohio. Here, we can see a man clearing the remains of a damaged house in Riverbend after an E4 tornado touched down in the area at 5:23 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.” The video footage showed a man I had seen in my bakery a few times. I felt bad because I didn’t know his name, but I was pretty sure he usually ordered a chocolate chip muffin and a hazelnut iced coffee. He was standing on the inside of his building, but there was a giant hole in the brick exterior, giving exposed brick a whole new meaning. All around the building, you could see piles of wood, limbs, a mattress, and even a tire. In his hands, he held what looked like an important picture frame, clutched to his chest.
The video panned to a group of people sitting in camping chairs next to a car with a large crack in the windshield. On their left was a huge tree that had been uprooted. The roots lay around the group of people along with lots of debris. Danielle’s face came back on the screen, and she said, “Stephanie Navarre sits with family members outside her destroyed house in the aftermath of the tornado in Riverbend. They told me how thankful they are to all be alive. They can rebuild their house and business. Eight other families in Riverbend weren’t so lucky.” I felt tears fall down my face when I saw Stephanie on the screen. She owned The Bookshelf, the used bookstore in town. I had been there more times than I cared to admit, and Steph came into the bakery often for a coffee. I was so glad she was okay, but I wondered how many of the eight who weren’t so fortunate were customers I knew and had befriended.
The hotel room door opened, and my handsome husband rushed in. The door closed behind him with a bang. He was wearing a tight, white shirt that stretched across his muscular chest and a pair of jeans. He took one look at me and noticed the death count on the TV screen behind me. I saw his nostrils flare, and in quick succession, he had the television turned off and me pinned to the closest wall.
“I really am so sorry we scared you,” I apologized again, but my words were soon cut off by his lips descending on mine in a very hard, yet passionate kiss. This kiss was filled with emotion as his lips sealed against mine, and his tongue entered my mouth to duel with my tongue. While we kissed, I felt his hands roaming all over my body as if to reassure himself that I was really here. The kiss went on until I couldn’t breathe and had to pull away. Tyler placed his forehead against mine as we both caught our breath.
“I need to be inside you. Now. I need to feel that you’re alive. God damn, Molly. I thought you and our baby were dead. Fuck, I don’t know what I would have done if I had lost the three of you. I’m warning you now that I’m not going to be gentle.”
In answer, I tore my shirt off. I pulled down my new maternity shorts and underwear in one movement. While I was undressing, Tyler pulled his shirt over his shoulders and head in the sexy way only men do it. He pulled down his shorts and boxers and kicked them away. His erection jutted out letting me know he was more than ready, and I felt the wetness between my legs without him even touching me.
“Tell me you’re ready,” he practically growled.
“I’m ready,” I said as he picked me up easily and threw me on the bed. He lifted both of my legs to rest against his shoulder and entered me right away. He went all the way to the hilt in one thrust. I let out a scream because I swear he had never been this deep inside me before. He began pounding into me, and he hadn’t been joking when he said he was going to be rough. He stole the breath from my lungs as he pounded out his own rhythm. One of his big, strong hands held my legs to him, and the other bruised my hip as he held on. I tried to meet him thrust for thrust, but I was no match for his strength. I just arched my back and grasped at the sheets. I felt my orgasm build and put one hand between our bodies to stroke my own clit. As soon as my fingers found my clit, I screamed out his name and how much I loved him. His eyes were a deep, hunter green as he looked at me, and I could see the emotion from the day swirling in his eyes. I can’t imagine how I would feel if I thought he weren’t alive.
He leaned down and bit my right boob. I cried out in pain and pleasure. I had never been bitten before. He then bit the left boob and gave me a grin after. He seemed to be proud of marking me. It made me shiver with lust. I loved this man when he was sweet and romantic. I loved him now when he was rough and possessive. He sucked on my neck as he continued to drive hard into my wet and needy pussy.
“Never letting you leave my sight!” he cried out as he continued the rigorous pumping inside me. “I need you. I can’t lose you.”
“I’m here,” I cried as I tried to pull him down to me so we could be as close together as possible. “I’m okay, baby. I’m alive. The babies are alive and kicking right now.”
Tyler stopped his pumping and looked down at me. He was breathing hard, and sweat was covering his forehead. “Holy fuck. I can feel them. Shit, I’m not sure if that’s the coolest feeling ever or if it’s really weird that our babies are involving themselves as I fuck you.”
