Holy hell. Where has this been all my life, and when can we do it again?
“You name the time and the place, Princess, and I’ll be there.” His deep chuckle makes my eyes fly open.
“Did I just say that out loud?” I pant.
“Yeah, you did.” He laughs once again as he pulls himself free and gently helps me sit up.
Those three orgasms must be making me stupid because I could have sworn I said that in my head. I shake it off, trying to clear my mind.
Get it together, Jade. Don’t let some incredible orgasms knock you stupid.
I rise from the desk and try to straighten my dress. I don’t even want to think about my hair right now because if it looks as disheveled as his, people will know exactly what we did in here.
“Let me do that,” he says gently as he reaches out to stop my hand from pulling up my zipper.
I move my hands away, and he secures me back into my evening gown. He stands in front of me when suddenly I can’t feel him anymore. I hear the soft pad of his feet moving away from me.
Wait, is he leaving right now? He can’t be… He wouldn’t. Not after he just turned my brains to mush with the most amazing sex of my life.
My heart plumets as the doubt sets in. This is why I don’t let anyone in. They always fucking disappoint me. I expect to hear the door click open and for him to just walk away without a word after what we just shared.
Instead, the lights in the office flick on. I slam my eyes shut quickly from the intrusive brightness and groan from the discomfort.
“I’m sorry, but I figured we’d have a better chance of putting ourselves back together with the lights on,” he says with a little chuckle.
My eyes open slowly so I can take him in. This is the first time I’ve been able to see him since we were in the hallway. What I find staring back at me is better than any fantasy I could ever conjure in my mind. He’s so much more beautiful in real life.
His hair is a floppy mess, the long waves brush over the top of his eyes. His shirt is untucked and hanging over his unzipped pants.
My eyes linger on his cock, which I can now see in its full glory. Man, oh man, it is pretty. He’s still semi-hard with the condom hanging off the end, full of his seed. It’s a sight to behold.
He gestures his hands out to the side. “Do you like what you see, Princess?”
My eyes bounce up to his, and I find a happy, sated expression on his face. “Why do you call me that?” I’ve wanted to ask for a while, and I was too distracted to earlier, but now I’m curious.
“Why do I call you what?” he tries and fails to play coy. I raise one eyebrow in challenge and cross my arms, which pushes my tits up in this dress. He chuckles as his eyes zoom in on the movement. “Fine, fine. It’s because you remind me of a Princess.” I expect him to say because I’m prissy or maybe I’m a little stuck up, but he surprises me when he continues. “Because you’re royal, regal, sophisticated, and maybe a little aloof, but I can tell you care about your people. About taking care of those around you.”
My eyes narrow in shock from his assessment. “How would you know that? We barely know each other.”
He shrugs his right shoulder. “I know more than you think, Jade. I’ve spent the past few months watching and learning. You do a good job of hiding behind the persona you want the world to see, but me?” He juts his thumb toward his chest. “I’m not falling for it. I can’t wait to meet the real you because I think I will really, really like her.”
He leans in and kisses me softly on the lips before reaching up to smooth my hair and dress out. Then he leans over to grab some tissues from a box sitting on the desk and proceeds to clean me up from our sex-fueled encounter.
And what do I do in response? I stand there in utter shock.
Because I think Colin Fucking Brooks just knocked the wind out of me.
Chapter 28
Colin
“Any word on Carlo?” I ask Donovan.
I’ve wondered what happened after we left the night we picked up the car. Carlo was still unconscious on the ground. The woman in the truck definitely knew Donovan and might identify him if questioned.
“Nope, nothing,” he answers. He doesn’t seem to be the least bit concerned. He’s still pissed over the ass chewing we both got from Liam this morning.
“Do you think the woman from the truck would tell the police we were there?” I ask cautiously. When I tried to bring her up before, Donovan had no interest in discussing her at all.
