“Nice or not, you will be going.”

“That is moot, we have to stop the KC’s or there will be no future for the human race. They’ll not be enough of us.”

“There will. It will take generations, but reproduction will solve that issue and they have their own plans, we can’t forget that.”

“No. We can’t and letting them bomb isn’t an option or solve the problem of the KC’s. They’ll continue to look for us. Continue to want us dead for as long as we keep fighting.”

“One problem at a time Moon. The most pressing is the nuclear issue.”

“Know where it is?”

“Our intel has a location.”

“The same intel I was looking for….” She sighed. “If we can’t trust the Free Human Alliance we are on our own.”

“Sounds about right. However, the timetable I downloaded has been moved up. They’re going to be ready soon. Your father has given us 10 days from now to make it happen. Then we must return whether you are ready to go or not, if we can. We have 20 days until they are ready to launch.”

“Fuck. 20 Days, it’s not enough.”

“It will have to be, or we go to your father now and lock down.”

“Try it and I’ll stem you.”

He laughed. “Always so ruthless when it comes to me Moon. But not your uncles.”

She shrugged. “They love me. I love them. What more do I need? Nothing.”

He stood, walking over to the side of her bed crouching down taking the blanket between his fingers. She held her breath. “You haven’t been a child for a long time Moon.”

“True.”

“Maybe it’s time we buried the hatchet, got rid of this discord between us once and for all and move on.” It sounded so similar to what she’d been thinking while in that prison, it surprised her for a moment. “Our people would benefit from a firm alliance between us.”

She looked at him frowning. “An alliance? Don’t we already have that?”

“Not a….. personal one, no.” She looked at him in disbelief. He wasn’t saying what she thought he was saying. They were way passed that. “Fuck me.” He demanded.

“What?” she laugh coughed.

“Fuck me. I want you like you want me. Let me fuck you, like you fuck them.”

She didn’t bother to deny she wanted him. “You think that will make it a personal alliance?” Nothing about sex with Cyborgs was personal.

Did he really think that?

“Like you said as a child, you will rule your people one day and I rule mine. I think I’ll get to have you.”

Have her?

Her mind reeled. Like she was a thing. A thing with value because of who she was, not because of her. She clenched her jaw. “Like you said, I’m no longer a child with those childish thoughts. You think an arrangement will get me? That I’d fuck you because on paper we were a thing? Not happening. You were always such a cold bastard, who the fuck would agree to that.” She told him with ice in her veins. “Get the fuck away from me.”

He hesitated staring at her before rising, walking to the door pulling it open. “You told me once, that they loved you and always would. You were right about that. But they’re not giving you everything you need are they Moon? They continue to fuck others and you have no babies to give you a future, to live on in your image. You deserve more than that. Your family wants more than that for you. You would do well to remember your uncles are not the only ones that love you and want the best for you. Be ready, we leave tomorrow.”
