“You know who this is?” Marcus asked RW.
“I do.” He sounded pissed as he gritted his teeth. “Sarah’s. Why would she deliberately call in the KC’s? They’d kill her too or repeat what she went through.”
“Maybe she doesn’t know she’s doing it. I’m guessing that whatever she’s using is to make communication with back home. Let’s hope it’s encrypted at least. The mole in their people has to have put an outgoing signal of some kind on it or she’s in league with them which I find hard to believe considering what she went through at the hands of the KC.”
“They’re piggybacking off it.” RW told him.
Marcus nodded, so did Mav. “That would be my guess. Someone made that happen in the FHA.”
RW gave the nod to Mav. “Fuck. That bloody traitor. Break it down if you have to and get that equipment.”
“Wait.” They turned to him.
“If it goes dead here, they will know we’re here somewhere. We need to move it away, make it look like this was a stop over.”
RW nodded at him. “Agreed get it.”
The door was crashed in and a scream sounded as Mav and his team entered. RW went in next and he followed in last.
They started to take the place apart.
“What the hell are you doing!” Sarah cried out standing up and moving out of the way.
“Where’s the communication device? We know you have one. It’s being tracked by KC’s as we speak, leading them right to our fucking door.” RW told her.
A hand went to her throat. She was clearly scared.
Not in league then.
“That’s …. not possible.”
“It is possible your people have a mole. They sold you and Moon out before, why wouldn’t they do this too?” RW insisted.
“Oh god….” The fear in her eyes was very real, her body started to shake. Going straight to her desk she pulled it free of the wall and pulled off a vent. Leaning in she pulled out a small communicator and handed it over. “I’m so sorry, its only meant to go to my Dad. I’ve used it most days, not for long, just to keep in touch. I had no idea this could happen.”
“You just turned it off?” he asked. She nodded.
“I usually try a few times to get hold of Dad. Some days are better than others.”
“So it’s possible the signal is only strong when on, passive the signal would be difficult through all this rock.”
He handed it off to Mav. “Get someone within five miles of them, turn it on and get them moving fast in another direction like they’d just been spotted, for as long as it takes to reach Black Ravine or crush it if they get too close. Keep it going for weeks, drag it out, then have them tailed and we’ll rendezvous to pick them up and if we’re lucky, grab someone.” Mav nodded and they all left.
He looked at Sarah disgusted. “You were told not to bring a communicator and you did. Why?”
“It was to make me feel better okay. I knew no one would like me here, would really speak with me and I was right, Moon is too busy with her harem of men and you don’t give me the time of day.” She moaned.
“Maybe if you did something other than walking around like you’re entitled, swanning about like some princess you’re not, things might be different.” He snarled.
She narrowed her eyes at him. “You mean be more like Moon.”
“Yes. And she’s the only real Princess here chica.”
She took a step back, like he’d shocked her. “Did you think of her while you were fucking me?” she spat out.
“You bet your ass I did. It was the only way I could get it up and save your fucking life. If you came here for my cock, you badly misjudged what this is.”
