“What do you mean you wanted—” He turned and silenced me with another kiss.

“You are driving me fucking mad. Crazy enough to throw it all away.”

Before I could ask more questions, Jax ducked his head, disappearing for mere minutes before returning. “There’s no one in there and the tide’s on its way out. You’ll be safe.”

“From what?”

“Everything but me.” Jax sheltered my head as I ducked under the opening. Losing my sandals in the sand still wet from the recent tide.

“Listen.” Without letting go of my wrist, Jax pulled me into his chest. Our hearts racing, which didn’t make sense. I was only one of thousands of women he’d slept with. Why would he care, why would he go to such trouble for one roll around the sand?

“What?”

“Sounds of the world, bigger than us.”

We stood, gently rocking in time to the waves crashing outside, the sound echoing inside the small chamber. The cave itself was barely big enough for a queen size bed. So intimate that we might as well have been inside a tent.

I’d never expected to hear Jax espouse words of a poet. More Chase or Xavier’s jam. But he was right, within this small cave we had a moment in time to remember the world outside was bigger than we imagined. Beyond control, but not beyond reach.

This time, our kisses started as naturally as breathing. My tongue caressing his steel rod in time with the whooshing waves. Anxious to know how it would feel, but willing to wait until we were both ready.

Jax didn’t bother asking before hands dropped shorts to the wet sand. His and then mine. I shivered as his fingernails roamed up my bare legs. Tracing the curves of my ass. Making sure the cheeks separated and feeling for himself the dampness he’d created.

For me, I finally got to see what all the fuss was about.

Not unwarranted.

“You don’t believe in underwear?” I laughed to hide my fear. What if he hurt me, seriously, he was huge. Then again, if I could take Devon and Xavier, surely I could?

“I don’t believe in wasting fucking time.”

“Really? The man who did nothing but kiss me for two days, doesn’t believe in wasting time?”

“We’re here, aren’t we?”

It wasn’t fair. I lived with regret for the minutes we’d wasted, while he considered it foreplay. The more we verbally fought, the more I wanted to break down the barriers between us. Give into every stupid crazy impulse.

To make him mine.

“My beautiful, Lolita.”

One finger holding up my chin until he turned us. His back to the entrance, now just a silhouette. What little light would have been on my face. It made it easier not knowing the man by anything other than his body.

“My beautiful fucking dirty blonde,” he mused, shoving two fingers inside. Pump once, pump twice, opening me for a third. Twisting until he found the spot that rendered my legs unable to stand. I collapsed, onto his hand. Caressing the full length of his erection towards me. I needed him. Needed this. We’d waited long enough.

“Wait.” He bent down until the familiar sound of tearing plastic echoed around the cavern.

“No, let me.” I took my time, rolling the plastic down his shaft. Cupping his balls and rolling them between my fingers. Nothing about Jax was understated.

“Lie for me, Lolita. Lie down for me.”

Not waiting for an answer, he led me to the ground. Not bothering with using his shirt as protection against the wet sand which tickled against my bare ass until he covered my body with his. Resuming our kissing as if we had all the time in the world, as if I wasn’t being driven mad by the need for him to be within me.

“Oh, Jax,” I refused to beg. Not even when his kisses were matched with a slow, firm grind. His sheathed cock against my groin. What the fuck was he waiting for?

An invitation.

Not gonna happen.
