Page 12 of One is Never Enough

“What?” Oliver croaks. “I don’t?—”

“Don’t you dare lie to me, Angel,” Jace warns.

Oliver sighs and sits back in the chair. “Confused. Excited. Shocked. Pick a word, and it will describe how I feel. How did you know?”

“That was more than hurt the night you left. I can’t explain it. I just knew something else was there, and Aiden confirmed it when he said he wanted you growing up. Also, when he said he knew about your crush on him.”

“You had a crush on Aiden?”

Oliver groans and buries his face in his hands. “Yes. I did. Okay? I had a crush on my sister’s boyfriend.” He drops his hands and looks between Jace and me. “That’s why I felt even more ten shades of fucked up when I found out.”

“Because you already wanted what he gave you before he did it,” Jace guesses, and Oli nods. “There’s nothing wrong with that because you never acted on it. Until recently, it was an innocent crush.”

“I know that after talking to Payton. I stayed so confused growing up. My dad shut me out when I needed him the most, which is when I told him that I was gay. I had to deal with that and my sexuality. I had no idea what to do.”

“Do you trust us?” Jace asks.

“I know I haven’t shown it, but I promise I do.”

“You’ll allow us to show you all the things we wanted to show you before?” I can feel myself getting excited at Jace’s line of questioning, especially when I see Oliver relax in the chair.

“Yes.”

“You know that you have to be all in? Not this shit you were pulling before, waiting for the other shoe to drop. You’ll believe us when we say that we want nothing more than to take care of you and make you a part of our lives.”

“Yes, Sir.”

“You’ll work things out with Aiden. Both of you.” Oliver nods, and I feel Jace’s eyes burning into the side of my head, waiting for me to answer. “Toby,” Jace growls.

“Fine. I’ll work things out with Aiden.”

“Good.” Jace stands up and pulls me to my feet. “Get the fuck over here.”

Oliver practically jumps from the chair and runs into our open arms. I jerk his face to mine, kissing him without hesitation. I feel my soul settle and breathe for the first time in two months. I groan when Jace grabs Oli by the chin and pulls his mouth to his. Oliver’s hand is placed over my heart, maintaining that contact with me even though Jace is devouring his mouth.

Oliver whimpers in the back of his throat, and Jace pulls back, breathing hard. “We missed you, Angel.”

“I missed you too. So fucking much.”

“You’re ours now. No second-guessing and no running,” I declare, running my finger over his pouty bottom lip.

“I promise.”

“You need to talk to us from now on. If something bothers you, speak up.”

“I will. I’m sorry.”

Jace hugs Oli to his chest. “Get on your knees and show us how sorry you are, Cum drop.” Oliver pulls back, his pupils expanding. “I never said I was going to make this easy. You need to be punished for the shit you pulled. It starts now unless you’ve changed your mind.”

I know Jace is pushing him on purpose. Jace needs to know Oliver is serious before he puts his heart on the line again. As much as I just want to make love to Oliver, I know Oliver needs this more. He needs someone to take the decisions out of his hands. He also needs to know we won’t deal with this again.

“You heard him, Baby. What’s your decision?”

Oliver looks between us, and I think he’s going to walk out again.

Until he sinks gracefully to his knees in front of us.
