Leland shocks the shit out of me when he shrugs. “Sure.”

“Uh. I’m going to sit this one out.” I don’t want another guy besides Leland, innocent or not, touching me. “Have fun.”

With a grin, Leland turns and jerks the blushing stranger against him. Leland’s at least three inches taller than him, and the guy looks starstruck at Leland’s pretty boy face.

I sit back down at our table and laugh at Leland. Most straight guys wouldn’t have even stepped foot in here, but he’s not like most guys. Leland’s never acted differently around gay men. He never shies away from their touches or flirtations. He gives as good as he gets.

“Can I have a seat?” I look up at the voice I don’t recognize. He sits before I can answer, and I frown. “What’s your name?”

“That’s my friend’s seat.”

“Your friend looks busy.” I immediately get weird vibes from the guy, so my guard goes up. “So. Your name?”

“I didn’t give you one.”

He chuckles, and a sick feeling settles in my stomach. “You need someone to teach you some manners. When a man asks your name, you give him one.”

“I’m under no obligation to give you shit,” I spit, standing from the table.

He grabs my arm and jerks me to sit back down. “I’m not done talking to you yet.”

“Yes. You are.” That voice. No. No. No. No. “I suggest you get your hand off him before I cut it the fuck off.” I look up into Toby’s dark brown eyes, and he smiles. “Hey, Baby.”

“Who the fuck are you?” the guy demands, but I don’t hear what Toby says. I’m already stumbling through the bar, trying to find the bathroom.

I shut and lock the door behind me, leaning heavily against it, sliding down on my ass to get my breathing under control. Toby is still as devastatingly sexy as I remember, even if his hair is a little longer. Does that mean Jace and Aiden are here?

“Oli.” Toby’s voice filters through the bathroom door, and I close my eyes. “Please talk to me.” I shake my head even though he can’t see me, trying to fight back the tears. “Just give me five minutes.”

“Leave me alone,” I sob. “Please.”

“I can’t,” Toby says raggedly. “You’re all I think about. I miss you so goddamn bad.”

“Why?” I cry. “Why would you do that to me?”

“Let me in, and I’ll explain everything.”

“I can’t. Go away.” I pull my phone from my pocket, text Leland, and wait. I hear voices rising outside the door, and Leland’s voice filters through.

“It’s just me. Open up.”

I pull myself to my feet and unlock the door. Leland shoves in and immediately pulls me in for a hug. “Is he gone?”

“He walked back into the club. I called an Uber. I’ve had too much to drink.”

He stays in the bathroom with me until he gets a text that our ride is here. With his arm around me, he leads me outside. As I’m sliding into the back, I spot Toby leaning against the side of the building, his eyes locked on mine. He doesn’t look away when the Uber pulls onto the road, and I find myself turning in the seat to watch as he disappears.

I can’t even handle five minutes in the man’s presence.

I’m fucking pathetic.
