“Shit!” he exclaimed, going paler than his normal pallid colour. “I’ve got to move. I’m getting picked up in ten minutes. I have to hurry. Oh shit, and I haven’t got half the stuff I was supposed to get!”

He looked beyond flustered, panicked even. WTF? Couldn’t they just wait for him?

I must have said that out loud, because he said frantically, “I’ll pay for it, if I make them wait.”

“Tell me what you need and I’ll help you get things. C’mon, what do you need?”

He rattled off a list of generic items that were easy to select, and we separated, meeting again at the checkout where I dumped the things I’d collected for him onto the conveyor belt.

“Thanks, Irian,” he said, looking relieved, as the cashier rapidly processed his shopping. “And thanks for today. It was nice to have someone to talk to.”

“Anytime. And don’t forget to text me about Thursday,” I reminded him, but by then I'd lost his attention. He was already gathering his bags, and starting to move away, eyes darting around looking for his ride no doubt.

I watched through the windows as they drove past, hooting and hollering, and although I couldn’t hear what they were saying, I could definitely see the mortified blush reddening Isca’s pale neck. Not for the first time I wondered what Isca was doing with this bunch of hoodlums and how horrible his life must be.

???

Isca texted me later that night, telling me he’d managed to get permission to come into town for our planned ‘tour’ on Thursday. We texted back and forth and then eventually decided to play a video game over the internet. We teamed up against another pair of randos and literally played for hours. I hadn’t had a buddy I could do this with in ages, and my skills were super-rusty, but Isca was killing it. We won the game, declined the re-match, and logged off, but kept texting between the two of us.

“Coming to bed?” Talius stuck his head around the doorframe of the TV room. “It’s late.”

“Just finishing up with Isca now,” I told him, happily. “We’ve been gaming. He’s really good at it too.”

“Better than you?”

“Ha, ha. I suck. I don’t play often enough.”

“Sure you don’t,” Talius chuckled. He didn’t get the appeal of gaming but despite the teasing, I knew it really didn’t bother him that I liked to play.

Talius closed the distance between us and his strong arms slid around me.

“I’m glad you’ve made a new friend,” he said. “I know it can be a bit quiet out here sometimes.”

I smiled up at him. “I’m happy.”

I stretched up on tiptoes to press a kiss to his lips. Warmth spread through my chest as I looked at my gorgeous mate. He never failed to make me feel like I was the most important being in the world, and as a bonus, he was hot as hell. “I’ll be along soon.”

Talius kissed the top of my head affectionately, slid his hand over my ass and squeezed, then left the room, a little smile playing about his lips. I wondered if I could look forward to some fun time before sleep.

Hey, I have to go now. Bedtime!

‘Night Irian. Thanks for playing. That was fun.

Let’s do it again soon. I need the practice, as you saw.

Haha. I won't tell anyone.

‘Night Isca.

I packed up the controller, turned off the screen and went to join Talius in our bed. The alpha was waiting for me, lying sprawled out naked on the mattress, stroking himself. I licked my lips, eyes drawn to his impressive cock. I swallowed, hard.

"Irian."

My eyes jumped to meet his piercing blue orbs. The inevitable flop of hair carelessly hanging over one eye did nothing to reduce his attractiveness. In fact, it did the opposite. He looked all bad boy with his wild hair, mesmerizing eyes, fierce, angular nose, well-muscled bare shoulders and his hand lazily caressing his prominent erection.

Fuck me, he made me breathless.

And yes, that was totally what was going to be happening to me later. If my alpha permitted it.
