He walked out with a winning smile. Daadi was confused about what to do next. Should she really go and check?

Maya opened her eyes only to see his handsome face. He was awake and staring at her with eyes full of desires. He stayed in her room last night, and she had no remorse at all. But now it was morning, and all the warnings from Daadi crossed her mind.

“You should get back to your room,” she mumbled.

He raised his brow. That was not what he expected to hear from her the first thing this morning.

“Last night, you insisted me to stay and now asking me to get out?” he snapped.

Maya stifled her laugh. “We mutually decided to stay together last night; don’t just blame me alone.”

Ranveer pressed his lips thin. “We are finally taking one step at a time then. So good,” he replied.

“One step? Last night were 10 steps at a time.”

As she spoke those words, her cheeks ignited with heat. The memory of Ranveer's hands exploring her body, their lips locked in passionate kisses, lingered vividly from the previous night. Yet, encountering him in the bright light of day left her feeling embarrassed, especially considering she had been the one yearning for his touch just hours ago.

“How about we take a few more steps ahead now?” He tried to get closer, but she moved behind.

“Ranveer, stop being so obsessive.”

“I am allowed to be obsessed with you; I am your husband.”

He rolled his eyes and leaned behind at the headboard of the bed, leisurely, showing no signs of leaving the room.

“I won’t ask you to do this ever after we take vows today. But for now, just go before anyone sees you with me. Please.”

“We are married, Maya. It shouldn’t make a difference to anyone if we spend the night together,” he snapped.

Maya sighed. Looks like she has to hold his arm and drag him out. Before she could get down, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her back to him.

“One kiss,” he urged.

“Stop messing with me like that.” She let out a soft whimper. “Daadi might have discovered you're in Jaipur. She'll be searching for you. What if she arrives here? I don't want to shatter Daadi's heart or yours. She values traditions more than legal documents.”

“And you?” he asked. “Whom would you choose?”

She took a moment to think and then palmed his cheek.

“I’ll always choose you,” she answered. “Ever… and forever.”

It brought a smile to his grumpy face. She hugged Ranveer tight when the phone rang.

“Not mine,” she mentioned, looking around to find it.

“It’s mine.” He got down from the bed and walked to the couch where he had left his phone stranded last night because he got busy with his wife.

“Hey,” he picked up Dhruv’s call, while staring at himself in the mirror. He looked messy in those trousers while his shirt lay near the window where he shrugged it off last night. Maya neatened the bed and tied her hair meanwhile.

“Bro, just get out of that room.”

“Excuse me?” Ranveer snapped.

“Daadi…” Dhruv continued to shout from the other end. “She is coming to check you in Maya’s room. Just get the hell out of that room now.”

Ranveer rubbed his forehead. How did this happen?
