Page 45 of Her Forever Daddies

Moving her eyes from Jace’s face to Zane’s, she felt terrible. Both men had been concerned when they’d come into the playroom, and now they were probably embarrassed of her for having a fit. They owned the entire club. It probably looked terrible that their own Little was having a meltdown.

You’re such a stupid head. They aren’t going to want you now.

Zane tilted his head toward the Little she was supposed to go apologize to. She felt really bad. The woman hadn’t been rude to her, and she hadn’t told Ruby that she didn’t want to be friends, but she was so used to people pushing her away that it felt like a rejection. Of course, now that she thought about it, it hadn’t been that. And now she had to go apologize to her in front of everyone. She could only imagine the terrible things everyone was thinking about her. None of the Littles in the room would ever want to play with her.

Shuffling over to the little girl who was now clinging to her Daddy, Ruby offered a sad smile.

“I’m sorry for getting upset. It’s not your fault. I shouldn’t have acted like that,” she said.

The woman nodded, giving her a small smile as she twisted her fingers in her Daddy’s shirt.

“It’s okay. Maybe we can play another time?” the woman asked.

Wait, what? She would want to play with her after she’d acted the way she had?

Nodding her head slowly, Ruby sniffed. “I’d really like that.”

“I’m Gemma.”

“I’m Ruby. Thank you for being so nice,” she said, a tear falling down her cheek.

“We all have our moments. It’s the Little in all of us,” Gemma replied.

Huh.

“See you next time, hopefully,” Ruby said before turning back toward her Daddies.

If there would be a next time. She probably wouldn’t belong to Jace and Zane after tonight, and she probably wouldn’t be allowed back to the club, either.

Walking toward the men slowly, she studied each of their faces closely, wanting to remember every detail about them so when she was sent home, she could remember them forever.

When she stopped in front of Jace, she looked up at him, feeling tears welling in her eyes.

“Good girl for apologizing. Now, here’s what’s going to happen. We’re going to go over to that chair and I’m going to put you over my knee and spank your bare bottom and then you’re going to spend ten minutes in the corner with your bottom on display,” Jace explained.

What? He was going to punish her before he sent her away? Wasn’t sending her away enough of a punishment?

Tears fell down her cheeks but she nodded, not wanting to cause the men any more embarrassment than she already had.

Grabbing her hand, Jace walked toward the corner of the room where a straight-backed chair sat, looking very ominous. Zane followed closely behind them and when she looked back at him, he smiled.

Was he happy they finally got to send her away?

Sitting down on the chair, Jace pulled her between his legs and studied her face. Reaching up, he wiped her tears away before cupping her chin so she would look at him.

“We had meant to come check on you sooner, baby, but the health of a sub was an urgent matter, and we knew you would be fine in here. We’re never leaving you, Ruby. Even if we’re gone for longer than you expected, we’re always coming back for you. Do you understand that?”

She sniffled as more tears fell. “Y-you guys a-aren’t going to send me away for embarrassing you?”

Jace’s eyes widened and he looked up at Zane with a surprised expression before looking back at her again.

“What? Oh, baby. Come here,” he said, pulling her into him.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and started sobbing. Another hand touched her back and she realized Zane had stepped forward and was resting his hand on her back as Jace hugged her.

“Sweetheart, you didn’t embarrass us. You could never embarrass us. You could throw a tantrum in the middle of church and you wouldn’t embarrass us. You’re our baby girl and little girls have tantrums. We would be concerned if you never had tantrums. Sometimes when you’re in Little Space, you still have big feelings and you need to let them out,” Jace explained.

“And we are never sending you away, Ruby. You’re our girl. The one we’ve been searching for,” Zane added.
