“Dinner’s ready, come in and grab a plate.” Mom turns and walks inside. The others follow her and I take Cora’s hand.
“Can’t be late for dinner.”
“We need to change into dry clothes first.” She looks down at me.
“Oh shit, yeah we do. I’ll hold the towel up to hide you from Nick’s wandering eye.”
She laughs and I hold up the towel for her. I can’t help but peek at her. It’s been a week since I’ve seen her naked.”
“Enjoying the view?” She has a smile on her face as she takes the towel and holds it up for me.
“I was, are you?”
She eyes me up and down and then blows me a kiss. “Gorgeous.” She laughs and drops the towel as I just manage to pull my trousers up.
We grab a plate and sit down at the dining table with my family. All I can see around the table is love. This is what I want to have. I want my wife and children to come here and be inundated with love. Now, I know that I want Cora to be my wife.
“Thank you for welcoming me into your family. I miss this. Family time is so important.” Cora has tears in her eyes.
My mom gets up and walks around the table. She pulls Cora into her arms. “You are always family, Cora, whether you stay with Caleb or not.”
“Mom…” I say. She chuckles and goes back around to the other side of the table.
I feel Cora’s hand on my thigh. “Thank you. Me and Caleb have some things to work through, but I am most definitely expecting Sunday dinner every Sunday in the near future.”
I place my hand over hers and squeeze it. Everyone starts talking at once, with Cora at the center of it all. This is my idea of heaven.

CORA
EPILOGUE - CORA
I can’t believe that Caleb has been back in my life for two months. Our relationship has moved really fast. From the shock of seeing him at Ms May’s Wife for Hire office, to pretending to be married, to me leaving him, getting back together and here we are. Two months later, getting married.
We decided that we had skipped past the married part, so we might as well just get on with it.
With my white dress on, I turn in front of the mirror. It’s not a wedding dress per se, but it’s a dress I love. “Oh my god, Cora, you look beautiful,” Louisa says as she wipes tears from her eyes.
“Thanks Lou. I don’t know why we are doing this, we could have just gone to Vegas or somewhere.”
“Now, don’t talk like that, Cora.” My wedding planner, Lily says. She has been a godsend. I was recommended Blissful Unions and Lily has been amazing at putting this together so last minute.
“Sorry Lily, I just think it’s a lot of money to spend, when we could have just snuck off.”
“Then we wouldn’t be able to share this special day with you both.” Louisa hands me a glass of champagne. “Did I tell you how much I love Caleb?”
I laugh. “I’m sure I heard you call him names only two months ago.” I laugh and take a sip of my drink.
“Yes, but that’s when he was the big bad wolf. Now that I know him and I know how much he loves you, I love him.” She clinks her glass against mine and moves away for her hair to be touched up.
Caleb’s mom is here. She was so happy to be invited into the room with us. I don’t have a mom or dad, and she has been so good to me that I wanted her to be part of the wedding.
Half an hour later we are all ready to start the ceremony. We are having the wedding in the same hotel as Tillie and Daly. After the wedding myself and Caleb are going to his boat fOr some privacy and then we are going sailing. No phones, no signal, just two weeks of pure bliss with me and Caleb. Sounds like heaven.
We leave the Presidential suite and as I get to the stairs, Caleb’s dad is waiting for me. I asked him to walk me down the aisle and he cried.
“You look so beautiful, if I was ten years younger…”
