“Well, we could always make that decision when we come to it,” VP offers. “Can you call him?”
Shaking his head, West looks at the table. “I fucking hate you guys.”
“How long would it take him to get here?” Jennings asks.
“He’d be here by tonight,” York says. “He’d find a way.”
Groaning, West shakes his head. “His arm span is so big, he probably just fucking flaps them and flies.”
“You really don’t like him,” Psycho says and smirks.
He narrows his eyes. “Wait until you see him. You won’t like him for long, either.”
“I fucking love him,” Patriot says.
“Saved my life,” York says. “Sorry, buddy, but it’s the truth.”
“Consider him Sylvester Stallone, Chuck Norris, Steven Segal, and Arnold Schwarzenegger all rolled into one man,” Gunner says. “Fucking intimidating until you get to know him.”
Looking around, Psycho nods his head. “I can’t wait to meet him. Call him. Call him now.”
Jennings laughs. “Gunner, can you call?”
He nods and leaves. “On it.”
“Okay, what do you guys need to make this plan?” Derek asks.
“We should wait for Undertaker. He’ll change the plan we come up with anyway,” West says, the scowl never leaving his face.
The man has a major grudge against the mysterious man, who sounds larger than life. He’s been built up so much, it has the potential to be nothing short of a disappointment when he walks in, but the disdain West has does seem intriguing. There’s more to the story, and Jennings wants to know it.
“We need locations of the areas you’d like us to target and current maps of the surrounding areas,” Beckett says. “Maybe Brock can help us with satellite images to identify abandoned buildings or natural barriers of sorts to use as cover.”
“We can do that,” VP says. “And before West loses his mind, we will vote on this as a club before we move forward with anything.”
“I’m not gonna lie,” Jennings says, “but I’m fucking curious about this guy. Part of me thinks you’re pulling my leg, and it’s a guy who acts that large but is more like Tripp’s size.”
Everyone laughs, including West, and Psycho slaps the table. “You just insulted your son, you know that, right?”
“I did not.”
Nodding, Psycho continues to laugh. “Yeah, you basically called him the runt of the club. The puny one. The smallest of the small.”
“If he takes after his father, his stature is the only thing considered small, so it doesn’t really matter,” Jennings says, eliciting even more laughter.
“I guess that’s the only part that really matters, huh?” VP says and chuckles. “You five can go back with the others. Don’t say anything until we meet as a group.”
All of them nod and walk out without a word, and TK looks at Jennings. “How much do we share of what Lex said with the group?”
“Just the plan. And the Christian thing,” he says.
“Nothing about the women?” Fox asks.
Shaking his head, he lets out a deep sigh. “No. We do not tell them anything about that because it will only distract them. If we can get rid of the Slashers, it’s a non-factor because there’s nothing to run from.”
“We don’t want to address it that some of them are ship jumpers?” TK asks. “I think the men should know that.”
“I think Tess, Karmen, Lex, and Lily probably have that covered. And probably Melanie and Heidi, too. I’ve seen how they group together, and now that we know, we’ll be able to see for ourselves. Just gotta watch and see.”
