"I'm ready," she says and wraps her arms around his neck. "I'm ready, Kade."
"Really?" His eyes stare down at her in awe.
She nods and kisses him. "This is perfect. You found our house!"
His hands grab her and lift her up onto the counter while he deepens the kiss. "You're moving in here with me?"
"I'll call the realtor on Monday to get my house listed. The equity I have in the house can be put towards the mortgage. I can't believe this," she gasps. "This is our home."
"God, I love you," he murmurs and kisses her neck, his hands sliding up her thighs and pushes up her dress. "I think we need to christen the house."
Jess smirks. "There's no bed yet."
"I'm thinking I want to be the first one to eat on these counters."
The primal look in his eyes makes her squirm, and he drops to his knees, placing her legs on his shoulders, and rubbing his nose along her inner thigh before sliding her panties down her legs and shoving them into his pocket. Her left-hand braces on the side of the fridge while her other reaches up to the cabinet behind her. The moment his tongue touches her, she knows she's a goner. Everything between them has gone hyper speed since they decided to give the relationship a real shot, and she sometimes can't believe this is real.
"Kade," she moans, her arms bracing as she feels her body tense.
He sucks her clit into his mouth, and she sees stars, gripping the cabinet for dear life as her entire body shakes, her thighs clamping against his face.
She slowly releases him, and he comes back up to smile at her. "My favorite dessert."
"There aren't any blinds on the windows," she says. "I don't think being completely naked would be the best first introduction to the neighbors."
"Should we go back to your place?" he asks.
Her eyes glance down at his fly, and she knows he wants her as much as she wants him. He never seems to be able to get enough of her, and it's one of the things she's always loved about Kade. She can look terrible after getting caught in a tornado, and he'll still want to jump her.
"Bend me over the island," Jess says. "They won't be able to see much."
"Oh, baby," he moans, and she climbs off the counter to walk around the side of the island more secluded from the bright windows.
Her wedges make her the perfect height to lay on the cool stone, chilling her chest through the thin fabric of her dress. The house is so quiet that she can hear his zipper slide down, and it's only seconds before he slides into her from behind, pressing her against the counter even more.
"You have no idea how sexy you look like this," he mutters and lightly slaps her backside as he thrusts into her.
He hasn't tried to take her in her kitchen, and part of her worried she wasn't actually kitchen-sex worthy. But having him take her in their new kitchen sends her to new heights.
"Faster," she moans, her palms flat on the stone as he picks up speed. "Yes, Kade, yes!"
"Jess, baby, I'm not going to last much longer."
Knowing how quickly she brings him to the brink pushes her over the edge, and she cries out as he does. His front rests on her back as he fills her. Shortly after their first night back together, she told him she's on birth control, but they should still probably be extra careful to avoid knocking her up. Kade said he'd be over the moon if she found herself pregnant with his baby.
Ever since that night, they've gone bare more than not, and she decided her plan of getting married and then having kids wasn't the order she needed to follow anymore. She loves Kade, and Kade loves her, and if they get pregnant before getting married, so be it. It may seem reckless and irresponsible, but anyone who feels that way doesn't understand their relationship. No one needs to understand but them.
Epilogue
Jess sets out the platters of food she prepared the past two days for their housewarming party. Her house sold quickly, but Kade refused to let her put the money into the house. Instead, he told her to save it for buying out her boss when the time comes. She fought him, but ultimately, she lost. He's very convincing, and he has an uncanny way of kissing her into submission.
Her coworkers, Drew and his family, Kade's coworkers, and their friends all gather in their home to help them celebrate. Even Lena and Joe, who are now engaged, are here.
Lena and Joe pull Jess and Kade aside, and Jess realizes Joe and Kade have never officially met. This could go badly.
"Hey, Joe. This is Kade. Kade, this is Joe, Lena's fiancé," she says.
Kade holds out his hand, and Joe shakes it. "It's good to finally meet you, Joe. I've heard good things from Jess."
