Our omega was awake.

Nate was looking up at us with lust-filled eyes. “You guys are so hot.”

Garin chuckled and slipped his hand down the back of my boxers, cupping my ass. “Someone would look even hotter without this stupid fabric covering his perfect bubble butt.”

I shook my head and dragged him back to the bed with me. When I was close enough, I crawled up from the bottom, hovering on all fours as I caged Nate in beneath me. “Good morning, omega.”

He giggled and turned onto his back as Garin slipped onto the mattress beside us. He sighed again, clearly content with how this was going. “Good morning, alphas.” Nate looked between me and Garin. “I don’t know about you guys, but I could use a knot right now.”

Garin chuckled and playfully nipped at Nate’s shoulder. “You’re an insatiable little bear, aren’t you?”

He shrugged. “I have a lot to catch up on.”

Our good-morning kisses led to making love, but it wasn’t long before we were all thinking about making breakfast.

“Maybe I should run into town and pick up milk and eggs and bacon and the perishables we didn’t get last night.” As the only human amongst us, it made more sense for me to be the one witnessed and leaving an odor trail. My scent was the most generic and would fade the fastest.

We had enough to eat, but it was all in cans and bags. Actual food would be nice.

Nate’s lip popped out. “You’re leaving us?”

“Not for long, little one.” I kissed him briefly then turned to Garin. “I can also call Aaron while I’m down there and see what he knows.”

“Yeah, I think it’s a good idea. If nothing else, maybe he can find out who we’re dealing with and how committed they are to keeping Nate quiet. If they’re connected with law-enforcement, maybe they don’t care about witnesses.”

I hated thinking about our omega being in danger, but we had to. It was the only way to keep him protected. I raised an eyebrow at that very wishful but unlikely thinking. “I guess that’s a possibility. But, more likely, if they were snooping around his house, they care.”

Garin pulled Nate tighter to his side. “Use the dark web email account we set up last year. Tell him to send what he knows there, and we’ll check it a few times a day.”

At the time we set that up, I thought he was being ridiculous. But of course I sat there and paid attention to everything he said because it was Garin and he was giving me his undivided attention.

Now I was grateful that I did.

Aaron was more helpful than I could have hoped for. Once I told him I was mated to both an alpha shifter and an omega shifter, he was all-in on keeping us safe. Who knew the burly detective was a hopeless romantic.

By the time I got back with breakfast, Garin and Nate were just getting out of the shower, and I was grateful to get a chance to watch them step out of the tiny bathroom with drops of water still glistening off their skin. As I gawked, a thought occurred to me. “I want to see your animals.”

Garin lifted his brow. “You’ve seen my wolf.”

“I haven’t.” Nate looked at him with hopeful eyes. “My bear is pretty anxious to explore the grounds a little bit too.”

Garin nodded. “Yeah, okay.”

He gestured to the groceries. “Let’s get that put away and we’ll step outside.”

Chapter 11

Garin

Trig had seen my beast before, but this time was different. He wasn’t just seeing my wolf, he was seeing his mate. And then there was Nate… I couldn’t wait to get a glimpse of his bear. I bet he was adorable. Not that I planned to tell him that. Most beasts I’d met liked to revel in their fierceness, not be called cute.

The anticipation of both seeing Nate’s bear and seeing both of their reactions to my wolf was growing with each second. If it weren’t for the groceries, I’d have run outside, dragging them both behind me. Instead, I was putting the bread in the fridge to avoid insects. Such a sexy and glamorous way to start the day.

We ended up eating breakfast before going out. Nate’s stomach rumbled, and Trig and I immediately started to pull out the groceries we’d just put away.

Nate shook his head, but his smile gave him away. He loved the way we doted on him.

After breakfast, we put the dishes in the sink and went outside. The sun was shining, and a light breeze kept it from being too hot. It was the perfect day to enjoy the outdoors with my mates.
