Just as I tilted my head back, getting in the perfect position, the nudging of the bathroom door roused me straight to a sitting position. I expected one of the girls to storm in, crying about something. Instead, Leyton stood there with a big grin on his handsome face.

“Where are the girls?” I asked.

“I said they could watch some TV before their nap if they promised to sleep on the couch and give you a break.”

I blinked hard. “And they went with that?”

He licked his lips. “Are you teasing me?”
