“In the wild, colorful maxi skirt!” Kira called out to them. “With the huge sneaker-covered feet.”

“Got him,” Fisher said, speeding past Kira. But then the person he was targeting turned to face him. It was Oscar wearing a long blond wig and raincoat, the hood up. He’d shaved off his beard, but he wasn’t wearing any makeup and he looked like a man wearing a woman’s skirt and wig. Fisher figured as soon as Oscar saw him, he would pull out a gun, but instead, he was running as fast as he could toward where he’d parked Kira’s car.

Oscar’s focus on his goal meant he didn’t see Fisher coming in for the tackle.

Chase and Brock went after Royce, who was running after his cousin.

Fisher took Oscar down with a tackle, Kira quickly removing Oscar’s guns and a knife from his holsters and pocket. And her car keys! One of the three guns he had on him was Kira’s.

“I’m shifting, damn it,” Oscar said.

“Let’s get him to Chase’s vehicle,” Fisher said.

Fisher and Kira hauled him to his feet and began running him toward Chase’s car. Fisher knew Tanner would let all the other teams know they had apprehended Royce and Oscar.

Fisher saw Chase and Brock rushing Royce in another direction. Brock yelled at Fisher and Kira, “We’re taking him to our vehicle. Royce is having wolf issues.”

“Same with Oscar. Were taking him to Chase’s vehicle,” Fisher said.

Chase reached into his pocket and tossed his keys to Kira. She caught them and pocketed them.

“Cute outfit,” Kira said to Oscar, “but your whopper-sized shoes ruined the effect.”

“How in the hell did the two of you get free and find me here?” Oscar asked. “God, I’m burning up.”

“Just hold off on the shift,” Fisher growled at him. “How did we find you? We’re damn good at our jobs.” He smiled at Kira who smiled back at him.

Then they finally reached Chase’s sheriff’s car and locked him up in the back seat. They didn’t have cuffs, but they didn’t want to cuff him because he needed to shift.

Fisher called Tanner. “Hey, we got Oscar in Chase’s vehicle. Royce is with Brock and Chase and they’re putting him in your car.”

“I’ve got a couple of FBI agents and local policemen here. The agents are bringing Tommy’s parents here,” Tanner said.

“Good. Slip away when you can. The other teams are all coming here to meet up with us.” Fisher gave Tanner the location of where Chase’s car was.

Then Demetria and Everett arrived. “Thank heavens you got them,” Demetria said.

“And Reggie is still on his way to Houston?” Kira asked.

“Yes. We passed him off to the team from Houston. He will be incarcerated by midnight tonight,” Everett said.

“Good. Hopefully these two will join him soon after that,” Kira said.

Demetria got a call and said, “Yeah, this is Demetria Anderson.” She looked at the others and was smiling. “Yes! Thanks so much. Okay, we have a friend, Strom Hart who is a billionaire jaguar and has his own plane in Houston. He’s flying here and taking these guys back to Houston. This is the only way we can transport newly turned shifters safely by airplane.”

“Too bad he hadn’t come for all three of them,” Kira said.

“Martin called him to set this up if we caught the last one. If he had come for the first one, he would have been on his way back to Houston by the time we caught the last one. But then we had to update him that we were bringing two of them home,” Demetria said.

“Okay, so who’s going with them?” Kira asked.

“You’ve done your job, Kira and Fisher,” Everett said. “You’re near your home for the holidays. Demetria and I are returning with the prisoners so we’ll be back home in Houston for Thanksgiving. Someone will be coming to drive our car home.”

Smiling, Kira and Fisher high-fived both Demetria and Everett.

Tanner drove his vehicle with Brock and Chase and Royce to join the rest of them at Chase’s car. Chase and Tanner got out of his vehicle, while Brock remained in the car with Royce, who was now a wolf.

“We’ll all go to the Colorado City Municipal Airport to make sure they get on their flight,” Chase said. “They’re not going to get away this time.”
