“That’s for sure,” Kira said.
The other teams all showed up and Kira told them what they were doing.
Everyone wanted to follow them to the airport. All the teams got into their cars and Demetria and Everett led the way, while Chase drove his vehicle with Oscar in the backseat and Jack also went with him.
Kira and Fisher followed behind them in their car. Brock and Tanner had Royce in their car, and they were behind Kira’s car. The rest of the teams followed behind them in their vehicles. When they arrived at the airport, they parked and Demetria said to the gathered group, “Strom will be here within the hour. Some of you can leave if you want.”
But no one made a move to take off.
Brock said, “We’ll make sure these guys get on the flight and they’re secure before we leave.”
Which Kira appreciated after all the trouble they’d had with the men.
As soon as Strom called Demetria to tell her he had landed and was waiting for them, they checked on their prisoners to find them still in their wolf forms.
“I’ve got crates for them and just in case you needed it, muzzles, leashes, and collars.” He had also brought fellow jaguar friends David and his brother, Wade Patterson, Huntley Anderson and his mate Melissa, members of one of the jaguar law enforcement departments. “They insisted on coming and helping Demetria and Everett return home to Houston with these two.”
Which was probably a good thing, Fisher was thinking, given all the trouble the two kidnappers had caused.
Demetria introduced them to all the people there. “Strom owns the Clawed and Dangerous Kitty Cat Clubs.”
“We’ll have to visit one of them when Fisher goes to Houston to take his training,” Kira said.
“Drinks are on the house,” Strom said.
“Thanks! We’ll definitely drop by.” Then Fisher collared a growling Oscar.
“We can tase you, if you don’t behave,” Chase warned Oscar.
Then Oscar settled down and Fisher attached his leash. David Patterson took hold of the leash and shook Fisher’s hand. “I’m also with the JAG organization. You had the difficult job. Congratulations on joining the USF.”
“Thanks. I’m happy to be part of the organization.”
Demetria and Everett had collared Royce and attached the leash and then took him to the private plane. They put the two wolves into the crates and secured them.
Fisher asked, “What about letting the families whose sons had been kidnapped know about us capturing the bad guys?”
“The organization will handle it. We have reporters and FBI agents who are shifters. We’ll fix it so that all bases are covered,” Everett said.
Which was the issue with shifters getting into trouble and civilian law enforcement and reporters being aware of it.
And then everyone who was returning to Houston said goodbye to those staying in Colorado, including the jaguar who was driving the Anderson’s car home.
Fisher pulled Kira into a hug and kissed her. “We did it!”
“We did,” she said. “We stayed positive throughout it too.”
“Mostly.”
She laughed. “Where to now?”
“The town of Greystoke.”
“Let’s caravan,” Tanner said.
“We’re headed back to Yuma Town,” Chase said.
The wolves from Greystoke said goodbye to the cougars from Yuma Town, and they split off in two separate caravans going in two different directions.
