GT silently agreed with Will as he slowly continued his journey. He didn’t want to be caught eavesdropping. So the pretty brunette was returning to the club, and he needed to figure out how to get her to play with him. He spent the evening watching other scenes and plotting his approach. As the scenes wound down and the club emptied, he got frustrated. He still hadn’t figured out a way to lure her into playing with him. Around midnight when the club was looking deserted, his luck changed. The subs and all the couples except Jim and Paula had gone home. The remaining few – GT, Molly, Mitch, Lynn, Will and Bob – had settled at a couple of tables with their drinks.
Lynn settled in her chair with a drink in hand. “Although I love the people here and the atmosphere of the club, I find it challenging to match personalities and kinks with another person. As a single dominant I’m expected to make the first move, but the subs aren’t easy to approach.”
Bob ran his hands through his hair and agreed, “It wouldn’t be so hard if some of the subs would be willing to experiment a little more. They come in with a narrow view of what they like and don’t take time to explore their options.”
Mitch countered, “But some of us are set in our ways, too. I’m not interested in anything but rope when it comes down to it.”
“Maybe we could stand to expand our horizons a bit, too?” Will asked.
“Easy for you to say. You’re still new enough not to know what your kinks are and you’re a straight guy so you have lots of possible partners.” Molly pinched her lips together and crossed her arms.
“Relax everybody. I wasn’t trying to start a fight. I have an idea for a way to mix things up a bit and this seemed like a good time to raise it,” Bob said.
“Do tell,” GT said and the others made encouraging noises.
“We’ll have a ‘blind date’ night, for all unattached doms and subs who want to play. Everybody will have two one-hour ‘dates’ with two different subs. For those of you who have regular play partners, you’ll get that sub for one of your dates.”
“That sounds promising, Bob, but how are you planning on getting the subs to accept unknown Doms without negotiations?” Molly asked. “Or to play with someone of a different orientation?”
“They won’t have a choice. I’ll match the partners and the subs won’t necessarily know who they’ll be playing with.” Bob grinned. “I use the word ‘blind date’ literally. The subs will all be blindfolded, and you can keep them that way the whole hour, if you like.”
The dominants around the table were making approving sounds when Paula interrupted, “What’s to stop an unknown dominant from taking advantage of a submissive who can’t see?”
Jim raised his eyebrow and tapped his finger on the table. Paula shrugged. “Someone has to speak up for the subs, Master. By the way, a blind date should mean neither partner knows who they’re going to end up with.”
Bob looked at Jim. “Is your sub allowed to participate?”
Jim leaned forward and cupped Paula’s cheek before he spoke, “It seems to me my sub has a viewpoint we should hear. Permission granted.”
Bob continued, “I think it’s good to have a sub’s perspective, too. You’re absolutely right, Paula. The Tops won’t be wearing blindfolds, but they don’t get to choose their play partners. In that regard it will be a blind date for them as well.” He tapped a finger against his chin as he thought. “How about we narrow the range of play? Only mild bondage, no toys, no penetration. Maybe …” he looked expectantly over at Paula. “What if we allow bare hand spanking as far as impact play?”
Paula cocked her head and started to nod along with Bob’s words. “If you offer different color bracelets, like the ones you get at festivals, subs can choose what they will or won’t allow.”
“Excellent idea, melda,” Jim chimed in. “I would also suggest extra monitoring.” He smiled at Paula, who was watching her Master closely and she nodded in approval.
Lynn narrowed her eyes as she studied Paula. “Would the dedicated couples form DM teams for the event? That way, there’s a submissive in the room to watch over the players as well as a dominant DM.”
“Excellent idea.” Molly clapped her hands.
“All right,” Bob said, “let me talk to the couples and work out the details. Give me about two weeks to organize this.”
The small group of dominants, Bob and Paula gathered their glasses and bottles. Most went to the exit or dressing room, while Bob and Mitch stayed behind to clean up.
“Let me help you out with that.” GT hurried over to Bob who was pushing a heavy chair back to its place. “How are you going to match the partners for the game?” GT asked Bob when they had moved the chair.
Bob grinned. “Don’t worry, you’ll end up with Sandra.”
GT’s mouth fell open and Bob laughed out loud.
“What … you … I … she. Damn.” GT spluttered.
Bob sobered. “I can’t read minds, if that’s what you’re thinking. I noticed your run-in with Sandra two weeks ago, and I think the two of you might be a good fit.” Bob rubbed the side of his nose with his index finger. “Whatever you did to piss that woman off must have been epic, though. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her mad. Be prepared to turn on the charm. The quiet ones are usually the most difficult to appease.”
GT could be charming, and he would even grovel if she would let him tie her up. He was determined to lure the brunette into his web of ropes. Like a spider, he could be patient.
Chapter Four
Chattering excitedly, Sandra and Ruby entered Club Indigo on the first Saturday of September. Four D/s couples and the threesome of Kate, Chris, and Yvonne, were gathered in a small group talking. Nothing out of the ordinary there, but something was off. Sandra glanced around the room – there wasn’t a single unattached Dom in sight. Erin, Peter, and Julie were gathered with Bob. What’s happening?
