“Want to take a walk?” Henry leans in to whisper as the group continues to tease Kaz with dating suggestions.

“Absolutely.” I never turn down the opportunity to spend some alone time with him.

We say our goodbyes, ignoring the pleas to stay. Tugging on our jackets, we step out into the chilly evening air, hand in hand. The sun is setting, casting purple and pink hues across the sky, the waves gently lap against the shore, and magpies warble from trees.

“God, I love this place,” I murmur, feeling the contentment wash over me as we walk along the water’s edge.

“Me too,” agrees Henry, giving my hand a gentle squeeze. “There’s just something about Blue Point that feels like home.”

My heart does a happy dance at hearing him say that. For a while I thought perhaps Henry would get wanderlust or crave his old city life, but he assures me he’s perfectly happy with the life we’re building together. We’ve had many conversations about our future, discussing our dreams, aspirations, and plans. I’m excited and optimistic about what lies ahead for us as a couple, and I know Henry is too.

We’ve purchased the water sports business and are currently recruiting staff, and Henry has plans to expand Azure to include a larger alfresco area that makes the most of its prime waterfront position.

I tug him to a stop in a secluded spot and wrap my arms around him. He’s warm against my body, and I pull him tighter, shielding him from the breeze. His hair tickles my nose as I inhale the scent of his shampoo that is now all too familiar. The rest of the world seems to fall away, leaving just the two of us, cocooned in a bubble of love and happiness. We stand there, wrapped in each other’s arms, as the last of the light fades.

Finally, Henry slips his hand into mine. “Come on. Let’s head home.” Home.

I grin at the word. I’m so bloody happy, and damn lucky to have Henry by my side with a bright future ahead. Everything has finally fallen into place. And who’d have thought it might not have happened if not for a game of Truth or Dare.
