Page 34 of Romancing the Omega

Chapter Eleven

Caden watched his omega move above him. Yeo rode Caden, his ass tight around Caden’s dick. His liquid black eyes were soft and adoring as he stared down at Caden. Their bodies moved together perfectly, Caden’s fingers on Yeo’s hips and Yeo’s hands braced on Caden’s chest.

Their eyes stayed locked when Yeo came with a whimper, splattering against Caden’s stomach. He pushed into his omega three more times, then filled him as he came. Yeo leaned down, pressing his forehead to Caden’s. “Having you in me is like being a full moon,” Yeo said.

“Huh?” Caden’s brain wasn’t quite functioning.

“Don’t worry about it,” Yeo said, kissing him softly. “I love you so damn much, Caden. How did this happen? How did we get so lucky?”

“It wasn’t my romancing skills,” Caden said.

“You romanced me perfectly,” Yeo said. “It was honest, awkward, and real. I never thought I’d trust an alpha after seeing how the shitty ones in my family acted.” He rolled to his side, propping his head on Caden’s shoulder. Caden’s heart felt full with his omega in his arms. “I don’t get why everyone says you’re distant and uncaring.”

Caden kissed Yeo’s wet forehead. “Who says that?”

“Some of the customers that come in. The whole town knows we’re together, and they all have an opinion. Even Zoe and Bennett seem surprised every time you smile,” Yeo said.

“How do you see me?”

“Sweet, passionate, so full of love,” Yeo said, humming. “You’re my family, Caden. You, Linc, and Summer. You all are my family, and I can’t get over how much I love you.” He looked up, meeting Caden’s eyes. “When I worked for Dad, I had to wear a mask. I couldn’t feel anything, and I think, after a while, I died inside. Having Linc restarted my heart. Being here with you all makes me feel like I can do anything.”

“Yeo,” Caden said, voice hoarse. “I swear you’re my soul speaking. People don’t see how we’re alike, but we are. You weren’t the only one who wore a mask. I just happen to still wear mine most of the time.”

“I don’t like it,” Yeo said, kissing his chin. “No more masks, Caden. It may be comfortable, but that’s only because it’s what you’re familiar with.”

“I’ll do my best, angel, but I may need you to remind me.” He stroked Yeo’s face, thumb running over that sassy pointed chin. “I’m so proud of you. You took care of everything. I just got to flex my lawyer muscles by being present.”

“I won’t let anyone take you all away from me,” Yeo said.

“I wish I could have fought for you, though. I’m proud of you, but I would have enjoyed proving my love.”

Yeo laughed. “You nursed me through a man-cold. You already proved your love, baby.”

“Are you guys going to get up? It’s already seven,” Summer said, banging on the door. “Linc is sitting in the litter box again. Huckleberry is with him.”

“Shit,” Yeo said, jumping out of bed and throwing some sweats and a t-shirt on. “Why is he so obsessed with the litter box?”

“Hopefully, it’s still empty,” Caden said, laughing. He got up and pulled some clothes on. “I cleaned it last night. Of course, Huck may be about to poop on Linc.”

“Eww, I think Linc used the litter box,” Summer said. “Juliet did not have to deal with this crap. Literally.”

“No,” Yeo wailed, running out the door. “That’s not how we want you to use the potty, Linc!”

Summer’s eyes met Caden’s and they started laughing. “Oh god, this is too funny,” Summer said. “At least he didn’t poop in the yard like Sassy.”

“Wait until summer time. He may surprise us. I think it’s time we put the litter box up out of his reach,” Caden side, wiping his eyes and wheezing. “Huckleberry has a box in his rabbit condo, so he can use that. Magnolia can jump.” He watched Yeo walk past with Linc. His nose was squished up, and he held the little naked boy straight out from him. Caden started laughing again.

“You suck, Caden,” Yeo yelled from Linc’s bathroom.

“I love you, angel,” he called back, chuckling. “What do you want for breakfast, Summer?”

“Waffles. Will you drive me to school?”

“Of course.” Caden loved mornings. It had been two weeks since Richard and Tracy had withdrawn their suits, and his family had a routine. He took care of the mornings and getting everyone moving. Yeo, Linc, and he ate lunch together, and then Yeo handled dinner while he helped Summer study her lines for the play. He would have made a damn good Romeo.

Caden took a freshly bathed Linc with him when he took Summer to school. Yeo looked like he needed a break. He took his time driving home after getting Summer to school. The town was still in the grips of winter, but with the holidays over, everyone was just trying to stay warm and survive until spring. It was supposedly the most miserable time of the year, but Caden had never been happier. He grinned as he parked and got Linc out of the car.

They made their way into the bookstore, and he looked around for Yeo. Amy waved at him from the register. She looked worried. “Caden. Some man showed up and yelled at Yeo. There were customers around, so Yeo took him back to the office. I don’t like the way he looked at Yeo. I called Tanner.”
