“Oh god,” Yeo said, hugging his papa to him. “Ray said he was good-looking enough to talk a lot of men and women into bed.”

“Rape isn’t about sex,” Dean whispered. “It’s about control and power. I never thought he’d do that to other people.”

“Other people? Papa, did that fucker rape you?” Yeo wanted to throw up.

Dean buried his face into Yeo’s neck. “Do you hate me?”

“Why the hell would I hate you? I love you, Papa. Nothing he did would ever change that.”

“I know it’s off topic, Dean, but I was wondering about something. Based on all that Caden and Yeo have told us, I never understood why you would choose to have an affair with Michael Cook,” Grammy said.

“I didn’t… I didn’t choose to,” Dean said, tears falling against Yeo’s skin. “No one believed me but Fawn.”

“Papa,” Yeo said, hugging him tighter. “Oh, Papa.”

“Why didn’t you abort him,” a male voice asked. Yeo looked up and Dean turned around. A very pregnant omega stood next to Gramps’ truck. The back door of the extended cab stood open.

“Abort Yeo? I couldn’t do that,” Dean said. “It’s different for every victim, but I loved Yeo as soon as I knew he grew in my belly. I was going to put him up for adoption since I didn’t think I could take care of him. Fawn came to talk to me. She believed me about him. She told me she’d take care of Yeo and give him everything their wealth could. She’d make sure he was taken care of and treated as more than an omega. That was my choice.”

“I can’t stand the thought of it inside me,” the young man said softly. “I know it’s a baby and it’s innocent. I didn’t want to abort it, but it’s so hard. Every day, my body isn’t my body. It’s his.”

“Simon raped you?” Dean met the man’s gaze. “My alpha hurt you?”

“Yes,” the man said roughly. “I wouldn’t leave the bar with him. I embarrassed him. He followed me outside.” He swallowed. “It was over fast.”

“I’m so sorry,” Dean said, pulling out of Yeo’s arm and walking closer to the man. “I should have stopped him.”

“How? Everyone knows you tried but the cops ignored you. Your parents didn’t care. Everyone in the neighborhood knows that.”

“It wasn’t your fault either,” Yeo said softly.

“I shouldn’t have left the bar by myself,” the man said. “I knew the street lights were out and it was dangerous.”

“No,” Yeo said. “You should be able to go wherever you want and not worry about being attacked. This is all completely on Simon Wagner.” He looked at his papa. “Only on Simon Wagner.”

Dean returned to Yeo’s arms, shuddering as he cried. “What do you need,” Dean asked the man. “Wait. What’s your name?”

“Logan,” the man said. “I don’t want the baby. I don’t want to hurt him or her, but I can’t take care of it. I don’t want to. My mom and dad fully support any decision I make. They even offered to take it, but I don’t want to see it every day. I feel horrible saying all that, but I just can’t do it. My boyfriend even said we could raise it together. Everyone is ready to love it but me.”

“That is fully understandable,” Grammy said. “There’s nothing wrong with how you feel.”

“Do they know what he did?” Yeo had a good idea why someone would shoot the bastard now.

“Yes,” Logan said. His eyes darted away. “My dad…”

“You don’t have to say anything,” Yeo said quickly. “The asshole got what he deserved.”

“Very true,” Dean agreed. He took a deep breath. “I’ll take the baby. If you will give birth, I’ll take care of the baby. I wish I would have kept my Yeo, but my parents had too much control of me. I can care for him or her.”

Logan shuddered and leaned against the truck. “Thank you, thank you, thank you. Adoption was an option, but I went to school with Jackson. He’s a good guy and I wanted this baby to know its brothers. Everyone knows you’re a good dad. I would worry if it was some stranger.”

“We offered to take the baby too,” Gramps said. “You don’t have to take him or her in, Dean.”

“Thank you, Gramps,” Dean said, tearfully. “I can do it, though.” He looked to Yeo. “Well, I should ask you and Caden first, right? We’ll be living in Caden’s cabin.”

“It’s your cabin, Papa,” Yeo said. “Caden said so. There’s no need to ask us.”

“I’ll make it work,” Dean said. “I can do this. I’ll find a job in Hobson Hills and be near my Yeo.”
