Page 13 of Romancing the Omega

“I seriously doubt you do,” the third omega said. He rolled his eyes and waved. “Hi. I’m Justin. This idiot is Abel, and you’ve met Grey. We’re Caden’s harem apparently.”

“Sister wives forever!” Abel threw a fist in the air. “Oh, hey there cutie.”

Linc looked at the three omegas then turned to Caden. “Cay Cay, up!”

“Aww,” the three omegas said together. Caden ignored them and picked Linc up.

“You all can sit wherever you’d like in that back corner,” Yeo said, pulling himself together and standing. “You have about fifteen minutes before the discussion starts.” He looked at the covered tray in Grey’s hands. “I see you brought some snacks. Feel free to put them on the coffee table in the center.”

“Are you going to join us,” Caden asked hopefully.

Yeo nudged him with his shoulder, smiling sweetly. “I wish I could, but until I hire another person, I have to watch the register all the time. I’ll be watching, though, so you better behave.” The three omegas pulled Caden to their corner, and Yeo reluctantly made his way back to the register with his gifts. “Damn it. I forgot Linc again.”

Summer laughed and handed a customer her change. “He looks perfectly content where he is.” Caden watched him from his seat. He hugged Linc to him and mouthed, mine. “See?”

“You may be right,” Yeo said. “Caden didn’t bring Sassy or Huckleberry. He probably needs something to hug.”

“Sassy and Huckleberry would be less stinky,” Summer said. She started poking the basket. “What you got there?”

Yeo finished unwrapping the beautiful fern. He set it on the corner of the register and admired it. “That’s so pretty.”

“Yeo,” Summer said. “What’s in the basket? I need to know.”

“You are so impatient,” he said and gently removed the beautiful scarf from the top, setting it aside. He would be wearing it tomorrow. Nestled within the basket were two glass bottles of milk, a large hunk of butter, a small loaf of honey oat bread, and a dozen blue eggs. Yeo smiled at his alpha’s choice of courting gifts.

“Bread, eggs, milk, and butter? Does he want you to make him breakfast?” Summer looked confused. “That’s not exactly a romantic gift.”

“No. It’s not romantic. It’s Caden. He’s my thoughtful alpha,” Yeo said, watching Caden as the book club officially started. He shook his head and smiled. “I don’t want normal, Summer. I want Caden Benson.”
