Linc hugged Caden. “Missed daddy.”
“Well,” Yeo said, sniffing. “I see how it is.”
“He’s my boy,” Caden said smugly.
“How are you feeling, Yeo?” Bennett sat on the edge of the couch and gave his friend a big hug.
“I’m feeling much better. My jerk head alpha took good care of me.” Yeo glared at him. “Then he stole my son.”
“Linc knows who his papa is,” Bennett said with a laugh. “I’ll start on lunch. You boys need to figure out what Caden’s going to say to Carter.”
“Why do we have to make a plan? Can’t Carter and I just talk?” Caden nuzzled Linc’s head. Damn he’d missed him.
“I don’t know,” Bennett said. “Can you? So far it hasn’t happened and now it’s causing trouble among your friends. Carter glared at Grey yesterday. He glared, Caden.”
“He did,” Grey said, nodding.
“What did you do,” Caden asked. Carter would never be mean to an omega. It wasn’t in his nature.
“Butterball may have stolen his shoe while he was fixing the kitchen sink. I made him take them off because I’d just mopped. By the time we found it, Butterball may have chewed it up,” Grey said. He fixed big, soulful eyes on Caden. “He glaredat me, Caden.”
Justin snickered. “It sounds like you deserved it. Butterball is a cute, little menace.”
Grey gasped. “You did not just insult my sweet piggy.”
“Okay, okay, boys,” Abel said. “Settle down. We need to figure out our game plan here. I think we should take out the strongest first, then go after the weakest. Grey and Justin will pounce on Carter. He won’t expect it and he won’t want to hurt you guys.”
“Wait, are we beating them up? That doesn’t seem nice,” Grey said.
“I invited Tanner. Tell me if I need to uninvite him now,” Justin said, pulling out his phone. “We don’t need the police there if it’s going to get violent.”
“Whoa,” Bennett said, standing up. Yeo pressed his face into his mound of pillows, shaking with laughter. “There will be no violence. Geez, guys. What kind of club do you all have?”
“The hot mess kind,” Grey said. “Obviously.”
“I think, maybe you all can just distract the others while I talk with Carter,” Caden said, trying to cover Linc’s ears. He didn’t need to hear his weird uncles plot a beat down. “I can’t believe you all are ready to take them out.”
“You rescued Chewie for me,” Grey said. He hugged Caden from behind, pressing his face into his back.
“You came up with our pub idea,” Justin said, hugging him too. “I have a real career now, and I don’t have to rely on anyone ever again.”
“You accepted me for who I am,” Abel said. He hugged him from the side. “I don’t have to pretend when I’m around you guys.”
“Look at this little foot,” Grey said, grabbing Linc’s foot and tugging it. The little boy giggled. “I want this foot.” The three omegas stole Linc and sat on the floor to play with Caden’s son. He shook his head. He loved his friends. He really did.

A polite knock at the door signaled the start of the weird ass intervention. Summer, Yeo, and Tanner sat on the couch, munching on popcorn, while Bennett and Sassy played with Linc in his room. Magnolia sat on Yeo’s lap, purring loudly. The cat looked at him, eyes full of judgement. Yeah, yeah. He should have tried more with Carter.
He pulled the door open, unsurprised to see a grumpy Carter surrounded by his friends. Elijah and Olive pushed Carter through the door. “It’s really strange to see you wearing a rabbit in a baby sling,” Carter said, looking pointedly at Huckleberry.
“How dare you mock Huckleberry,” Grey said. “Do we attack now?” He looked back at Justin and Abel.
“No attacking,” Justin said. He slid a glance to the couch. “The cops are here.” Tanner grinned and grabbed a handful of popcorn.
“Attacking? I didn’t know it was that kind of intervention,” Elijah said. He looked at Zoe. “We should have worn the black outfits. We would have looked tougher.”
“Okay,” Zoe said, pushing everyone through the door. “Clearly we need someone to direct this thing.” She pointed at Carter and Caden. “You two go to the kitchen table and sit down. Olive, go on into Linc’s room and keep Uncle Bennett company.” She looked at the others. “You all can mingle amongst yourselves. No attacking,” she said, pointing at Grey.
