Yeo whimpered, dropping Derek’s hand, devastation filling his eyes. “Why would you do that? Papa uses a burner phone every time. There’s no way I can call him back. Why would you do that?”
“I’m so sorry,” Derek said. He closed his eyes and tears rolled down his face. “Your papa wanted you. He loved you enough to go against his alpha and call you all the time. I was so jealous, Yeo. I’m so sorry.”
Yeo sat in his desk chair and cried. Caden moved him around, sitting down, and holding him in his lap. “It’ll be alright, angel. Ray is looking for your papa, remember?”
“I’m going to go,” Derek said, looking miserable. “I’ll see if I can find him, Yeo. I’ll try to fix this.”
“I’ll text you Ray’s number,” Caden said. “If you find anything at your father’s house that might tell us how to reach Yeo’s papa, call him.”
“I will. I’m so sorry.” Derek turned and ran from the room.
“Papa thinks I hate him, Caden,” Yeo said. “I know that has to hurt him so much.”
“We’ll find him,” Caden said. “We’ll make this right.”
