“You just created this!” Kitty said.
“There has to be some benefits to being an emperor.” This was one of the nicer ones.
“Fine. Where are we going next?”
“I thought I would give you a tour of my castle.”
“Let’s go.” She climbed on a picnic table and got on his back. He took off right away.
She seemed more relaxed than last time and he took her as high as he could without hitting the layer where there was no oxygen. A dragon could deal with no oxygen for a time, but not a human. By going higher, it made their trip quicker. It also gave a beautiful view of the planet below. He heard his female gasp as she took in the beauty below right before he nosedived.
Now she held on tighter than ever. Goddess, he hoped she mated him soon and that she changed. Not that there wasn’t something beautiful about her riding his back. There was something wonderful about the way she held on to his neck tight. Soon they would be there.
His castle came into sight and it never failed to amaze him. It sat high on the highest mountaintop on the planet. At least that was the part that was visible from outside. Inside it stretch across the mountain and deep below. Each emperor for tens of thousands of years had added to it making it a wonder of its own.
Kitty would love it as everyone who saw it did. At least she would be assured that she would have an amazing home if she mated him. If that didn’t count in his favor, at least it wouldn’t count against him. He knew the second she saw it clearly because she gasped. The inside was even more spectacular.
Landing on the roof, his guards immediately got a ladder for her. He had all his people well trained. Not all the kings did, but Erak had his trained as well. That was why of all the kings, Erak was the one he preferred to visit. Once he mated Kitty, he would have to visit each king. That he wouldn’t mention until after the mating. If that was bad, then he was a bad boy. He’d heard Earth girls loved them.
“Let me tour you around the castle. You’ll love the garden. Do you want to start there?”
“That sounds lovely.”
He took her arm and escorted her down the stairs. There were many flights and she was tired by the time they reached the bottom. Opening the large door, he led her through to a huge garden. There were acres of plants down here segregated into those used for food, those used as herbs and spices, a huge orchard, vines grew all around the edges, and beautiful flowers of various kinds. There was also a sealed off area of poisonous and dangerous plants.
Recently they’d discovered some of those had medicinal qualities in small amounts. It had been a suggestion by Betty that they experiment and research to be sure they had no positive applications. Turned out several did.
Kitty had shown great interest in all the plants. “These flowers are beautiful. Some resemble flowers back home.”
“I’ve been told that by your mother and sisters.”
“You’ve toured them around the garden?”
“No, my healer took Betty, but they are working together to cure disease. The others saw some of these plants in Erak’s garden.”
“It’s true he has some of these, but your garden is much larger.”
“That’s why I’m the emperor. Let’s go up to the next level.” He suggested.
“What about the dungeon?”
“I didn’t think you would want to see that.”
“A lot can be determined about a man by the way he treats his prisoners.” Kitty said.
“You’ll be disappointed.”
“Why is that?” She asked as he led her into an empty but large dungeon.
“No prisoners. Your mother has a program to put prisoners to work. More serious criminals go to the meteor to mine.”
