He slid his hand around her back and pulled her closer to him.
She went willingly, wrapping her arm around him.
“I love you,” Micah whispered against her lips.
“I love you,” she echoed as their mouths came together, sweet and soft and tender.
He rested his forehead against hers. “I don’t want to go to Virginia without you.”
She rubbed her hand up and down his back. “I know, but it won’t be forever.”
“A day away from you feels like forever.”
Her heart stuttered at his sweet admission.
“Come with me. Move to Virginia. You can study photography anywhere.”
“Micah, be serious.”
“I’m dead serious.”
She sat up and stared down at him. “You want me to move to Virginia? Where am I supposed to live while you’re in the dorm?”
“We’ll find you an apartment.”
“I don’t want to live all by myself in a strange town.”
“So, go to Liberty.”
“I can’t afford Liberty, Mr. Full Ride Baseball Scholarship. I can barely afford community college.”
“We’ll find a way.”
“You’re so sweet.”
Micah sat up and took her face in his hands. “I’m serious. Please think about it.”
“I’ll think about it.”
He kissed the tip of her nose. “Good, because we would have so much fun in Virginia together.”
“Oh, you’ve thought about this, huh?”
“Once we get our degrees, we’ll get married and get a place by the ocean—”
“By the ocean? You better get a really good job then.”
“I plan on it.”
She laughed and lay back again.
“And then we’ll start making babies.”
“Babies? Plural?”
“Lots of babies.” He snuggled up beside her again, his head propped up on one arm, the other draped across her stomach.
“Do I get any say in this?”
