Chapter Three

“Right, it’s time for surprise number one,” I tell her, as the rest of the girls are looking on in excitement. None of us have ever been to Vegas before and we’ve been looking forward to this since Cass told us she wanted a Vegas themed bachelorette party. She didn’t realize she’d end up in Vegas until last week.

“Please be strippers, please be strippers,” Cass prays. I can’t help but laugh at her. I had toorganize strippers for her, I can just imagine the disappointment if there wasn’t any. She’d think her hen weekend was a failure. Not on my watch it won’t be.

“Not strippers, we’re going to MGM and we’re going to do some gambling. Us girls have pulled our resources and have added money to a pot for your gambling needs,” I tell her with a smirk. Cass has no self-control, she doesn’t know when to quit. Anytime we’ve gone to Lucky Chances for dinner, Cassie always ends up getting lost in the casino and it’ll take us over an hour to find her.

Cass stamps her foot, “I’m not that bad. But I thank you.” She smiles widely as she links her arm through mine, “Let’s go!” Good, the excitement has hit and I knew she’d enjoy this, we’ve given her five hundred dollars to play with. Thankfully the girls were happy to contribute which meant that I could have some money for myself.

Walking down the strip towards the MGM, we’re stopped by the most gorgeous drag queen I’ve ever seen. If Leshar wouldn’t have told us he was a Killer Queen, I would have thought that he was a woman. He’s beautiful and I’m really tempted to change the plans that I made for Cass’ bachelorette party and go along to see the Killer Queens perform. “Ladies, if you’re around, come and see us. I promise you’ll have the time of your lives. If not, Miss Cassie, I hope you have a wonderful wedding day and that you and your husband have a blissful marriage.” Leshar takes Cass’ hand giving it a kiss as he does. “It’s been a pleasure.”

We say goodbye and I’m thinking of a way to broach the subject about going to see the Killer Queens, but I don’t have to, seems I’m not the only one who wants to see them. “Say, I know you’ve spent a hell of a lot of time in preparing the greatest bachelorette party the world has ever seen, but is there any chance we could fit in going to see the Killer Queens?”

I smile, “I’m so glad you asked. We’ll have dinner and then we’ll go see the Killer Queens.” I glance around and all the other women have huge ass smiles, seems as though Cass and I aren’t the only ones that want to go see them.

My phone buzzes in my purse and Cass looks at me expectedly, I shake my head at her, she’s like a kid in the candy store. Reaching into my purse, I pull out my cell and inwardly groan when I see the name on the screen. Everett. What the hell does he want?

Saylor, I know you’re not available this weekend but I need you. Zara seems to have fucked up.

I take in a deep breath, every instinct tells me to ignore the message and continue on with my day, but I just can’t, I reply and instantly regret it.

What do you need?

He doesn’t hesitate, his reply comes instantly.

You’re in Vegas. Meet me?

I blink, how the hell did he know I was here? I quickly type my reply.

Sorry, I’m busy. Was there actually something you needed?

Zara managed to get herself locked out of the email account and reset the password.

Where is he going with this?

Okay….

She’s forgotten the password and she never sent me the email I need. Can you help?

Why am I not surprised? She’s useless, and it goes to show.

“Say, everything okay?” Cass asks sounding worried.

“Yeah, just work. I just need to send an email and then we’ll go to dinner.”

Which email do you need?

The Matthewson one. I have a meeting with him tomorrow morning.

I search through my emails and see if I have it. Usually when I’m emailing the clients I use my own email account. Finally I come across the email that Everett needs and send it to him.

Should be in your inbox. Please let me have this weekend without dealing with anymore work.

Of course. Have a good weekend, Saylor.

“Ready?” Cass calls out and I nod putting my cell away.

“The club?” Cass questions, looking shocked as we pull her towards the door to the club.
