Me – Seriously?
Brax – Is this for real?
Me – Do you think I’m an asshole and a masochist? Yes, it’s for real. I’ll do anything for her.
King – I told you so.
Micah – Damn. I feel as old as King.
King – Fuck you.
Brax – I’m on the phone with Landyn. She’s still crying by the way.
Me – Yeah, she told me.
Brax – Happy tears.
Me – I’m leaving the damn chat. Feel free to talk about me after I’m gone.
Me – Oh, one more thing, Cole Carson will be in the office first thing tomorrow morning. See you then.
Brax – What?

I barely have a chance to shut my eyes when it starts all over again.
Goldie Jennings added Rocco Monroe to the conversation.
Goldie – I might be putting the cart before the horse here, but I started planning your wedding. It’s going to be epic!
Landyn – These damn hormones. I can’t stop crying, and now you’re talking about their wedding. I have a color and cut in five minutes. I’m not sure how I’m going to manage.
Evie – Wait until you see them in person. They’re perfect. I’m not sure how we didn’t see it before. The wedding pictures will be stunning.
Goldie – Roc, are you there?
Me – Under duress.
Goldie – Sorry. I just had to tell you how happy I am. And about the wedding. It’s all on me.
Me – You do know we’re not engaged, right?
Landyn – But you love her. And you just told me you’d do anything for her. It’s just a matter of time.
Evie – He loves her! I didn’t know for sure, but I thought so. I could see it.
Goldie – I’m just saying, Roc, you need to plan accordingly. I’ll block off some prime dates on the calendar. After hurricane season for sure—probably late fall so the weather is nice and you’re not sweating bullets for pictures on the beach.
Me – Um, I don’t know what to say.
Landyn – Thank you?
Goldie – No thanks needed! The next generation is getting married.
