“Don’t sell me as a sex slave, Khorahn. Please. I’ll be better. I promise.”

CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE

VYA

Having two new men staring at me while I wasn’t wearing anything but Khorahn’s weird necklace was giving me major anxiety. Mentally, but not exactly emotionally.

The big newcomer, who was sporting an obvious boner, watched me with a hungry intensity. He had an edge to him that made me nervous even though he looked a lot like Khorahn—big, buff, and with cute ears that swiveled on the sides of his head. His eyes had a darker blue center, making it easier to see he was looking right at me.

My gaze flicked to the man who was wearing nothing but a necklace like me. He wasn’t sporting wood. But all the ornamental chain wrapped around his dick wasn’t any more reassuring.

Had all the touching over the last few days with Khorahn been training? Like, hey, let’s get Vya addicted to sex so she’ll jump anyone.

“Please don’t leave me here,” I said, holding onto Khorahn.

He set his hand on my back, and I was in his arms a second later. I buried my face into his neck and held on like my life depended on it. And it did. If Khorahn left me, I doubted I’d survive whatever else fate wanted to throw at me.

He started walking. I didn’t know where we were going, but I really hoped it was back to the ship. I heard doors open and the other two talking, but I didn’t lift my head to look until Khorahn tried to set me down.

I looked around at the exam room. When he would have let go, I held onto his neck. He did that soothing thing where he stroked my arms, but I wasn’t falling for it. My gaze flicked to the other two who were in the room with us.

“I want to go home, Khorahn,” I said. “Please. I don’t like it here.”

The bigger one said something, and Khorahn sat on the exam table with me in his lap. He spoke in that low soothing growl as he moved my hair to the side. I watched the arm of the exam machine swing toward us as Khorahn coaxed my head onto his shoulder.

Panic and fear were trying to wrap around me until Khorahn brushed a finger over my nipple. That was all it took. One touch and my focus shifted from fear to needing him.

Thoroughly distracted, I barely noticed the end of the machine touching my skin just behind my ear. At the same time that it injected something, Khorahn pinched my nipple in the way I liked. The combination of pleasure and pain fried my brain for a second as I tried to decide if I was okay.

“The scent of her arousal is undeniably intoxicating,” the necklace guy said. “Any male who smells that will want her. Even I’m tempted.”

The bigger one laughed. “I’ve never heard you say that about a female before.”

“I know. She truly is beautiful and unique, Khorahn.”

I could understand them?

Whipping my head off Khorahn’s shoulder, I looked at him in shock. He smoothed a hand over my arm, and his gaze held mine.

“You are safe, Vya. Mtinash is a friend, not a flesh trader. I will not leave you.”

“I can understand you! Can you understand me?”

“Yes.”

The tears of joy that should have fallen lingered on my lower lid as I stared at the man who’d saved me. The one who’d also brought me to a place where I could finally communicate with him.

“Thank you so much for finding me and saving me.” The depth of my gratitude made my voice shake. “Thank you for taking care of me. For feeding me. For giving me these.” I fingered the gems teasing over my breasts. “I am truly grateful for everything and know I have no right to ask for more, but…can you take me home? I’m from Earth. I don’t know where that is, though.”

He hugged me, smoothing a hand down my back.

“I know where your homeworld is, but there is much you need to know before I can do as you ask.”

“Now that you have the translator, perhaps this conversation is better suited for a more comfortable location,” Mtinash said.

I looked at him. “Translator?”

“The neuro-implant you just received,” Mtinash said. “The highest quality with the most recent updates. Did it hurt much, my beauty?”
