“May the light bless you for the pleasure you provide.”
She nodded to him and leaned over to take something from one of the plates. A large amount of glittery liquid gushed from where she and Mtinash were connected, coating Mtinash’s pants. She made a relieved sound then hissed and shook again.
Catching my eye, she said, “I have yet to find another species that can deliver as much pleasure as Mtinash’s. It makes the time spent knotted more enjoyable.”
“Knotted?” I asked.
“We are locked together until his knot is small enough to safely withdraw,” she said. “Have you not mated with—” She shivered violently again and hissed. “Have you not yet mated with Khorahn?”
“No,” Khorahn said. “She had no translator to understand what mating with me would mean, and I did not want to accept what might not be willingly given.”
His statement warmed and confused me since we’d had sex. Well, at least with one of this cocks. But maybe both were needed for mating? I decided to save that question for later.
“Are these foods safe for Vya?” he asked.
The man who’d been gazing adoringly at Oaiu said he would check and asked what species I was.
“Human. From Earth in the Senwar system. Take care in who you ask, though,” Khorahn said. “They are a protected species, and she was involuntarily removed from her planet.”
I twisted to look at him. “How did you know it was involuntary?”
“No female would willingly endure what you did,” he said. “And it is because of what you saw and experienced that I’m afraid you won’t be allowed to return to your planet.”
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“Atal, check the data pics and find something suitable for our guest,” Mtinash said.
The male walked away as Khorahn’s hand skimmed up and down my arm.
“Why can’t I go home?” I repeated.
“The Oebri are working to maintain a cooperative and peaceful image of the systems’ races with your home world. They need the trade treaty with Earth. Desperately. As do hundreds of other races trying to join the treaty,” Khorahn said. “How do you think news of an abduction will affect Earth’s relations with the systems?”
“We already know people are being abducted,” I said. “That was why Earth signed the treaty in the first place.”
“Which is proof that the Oebri do not play fair, my beauty,” Mtinash said. “It’s why the rest of the systems have learned to be wary of them.”
“I don’t understand.”
“A few Oebri data pics fell into my hands. They detail the discovery of a new race with fertility rates unheard of anywhere else in the systems.” Mtinash’s voice grew rough. “Pregnancy can result within a lunar-rev of breeding.”
Oaiu’s mouth opened, and she screeched with her tail flailing. Mtinash caught it in his hand and stroked it before she could wrap it around his neck again.
When she caught her breath, she laughed. “That’s new. You’ve never reknotted before.” She patted his arm. “I wish I could give you the young you long for, Mtinash.”
He nodded and thanked her, all while looking at me with heat. Was it unusual to have a conversation with a guy while he was cock-deep in another woman at the same time he was sending all the “I want you vibes” possible? For me, yes. But for everyone else on the cushions, apparently not.
“Not allowing me to return doesn’t make sense, though.”
“Doesn’t it?” Mtinash asked. “Your planet signed to protect its females, and since signing, the Oebri have been painting a happy little picture of how your planet is safe because of them, haven’t they?”
“Well…sort of. The news has been reporting on all the tech we’re gaining and how many lives are being saved because of it. There have been a few articles about unauthorized ships in orbit and how the fey are doing their best to ensure more people aren’t being abducted. Their protection isn’t perfect. Obviously.”
“Have any other females returned from abduction?” Khorahn asked.
I knew what he was getting at, so I didn’t say anything.
“It would be better to learn the truth yourself,” Mtinash said. “I have the means for you to contact the Oebri without anyone knowing where you are. You can ask questions, receive answers, and decide for yourself if you want to try to return.”
