I look down to find that my nipples are indeed hard and easy to make out through my dress. I’m not sure where my boldness comes from, but when my eyes meet his, I smirk. “Our game was fun. Would you like to play another?”

He licks his lips as he pushes away from the door, stalking closer to me. “What do you have in mind?”

Dax had said they were all mine. That I belonged to all seven of them. Maybe I should start enjoying my time here and stop fighting what my body craves. That doesn’t mean I’ll give them my heart… just my body. I endured years of the king and his men using me for their pleasure; I think it’s time I take some pleasure for myself. Taking a deep breath, I rip my dress over my head, leaving myself bare before Alair.

“Catch the fox,” I taunt before taking off toward the bathroom.

There’s a growl and, before I’ve even made it a few steps, his arms encircle me from behind. He nips my neck, and I can’t suppress my moan. He slips a hand between my legs and hums against my neck. “Seems I’ve caught myself a fox. Now, what should I do with her?”

Slipping my hands up behind me, I tangle my fingers in his wavy, dark locks. I let out a needy moan when he slips a finger through my folds. He nips at my ear and growls, “What should I do with my fox?”

“Please her. Please your fox,” I reply breathlessly.

His chest rumbles. “Now that sounds like a fun game. But let’s make it even better.” He flips me in his arms before pushing me up against the wall. He kneels on the ground in front of me, his black eyes looking up to meet mine. “How many times do you think I can make my fox come while screaming my name?”

“Alair,” I pant.

He grabs one of my legs, lifting it and putting it over his shoulder, his breath tickling my hot center. “Let’s see how long it takes for you to beg for my cock.”

I’m slightly sore from my time with Alair last night, but there are certainly no regrets. With a groan, I pull myself out of bed to take a shower and get ready for the day. I try to think who my guard will be today as I shower.

After dressing in a simple gown, I make my way out of the room to search for Reverie. He’s usually hiding somewhere around the castle; the issue is finding him. I had asked him once why he doesn’t just guard me like everyone else.

“The shadows are where I belong,” is what he had said. To be honest, I hate that he feels like the shadows are all he deserves.

Looking up and down the hall, I huff out a sigh, then turn to continue my search. I let out a squeal when Rev suddenly pops up in front of me, startling me. Holding a hand to my chest, I scold him. “I swear I will die of fright one of the days with you always jumping out of nowhere like that!”

He gives me a raised brow. “I did not jump, and it was not out of nowhere.” He points to the dark room where he must have come from. “I walked out of that bedroom when you were turned the other direction.”

Huffing out a sigh, I continue down the hallway. “It’s like you are made out of shadows and darkness. I’m sure you would be horrible to play hide-and-seek with.”

He hums beside me. “I have not played that game since I was a child.”

With a grin, I turn to him. “Then we should play hide-and-seek!”

His brows furrow. “Why would we play a child’s game?”

“It wouldn't be a child’s game. You would be teaching me how to hide as well as you do. We could even make prizes for the winner.”

His gaze turns thoughtful before he agrees with a nod. “I suppose learning how to hide and blend in could be helpful. What prize do you propose?”

Clapping, I reply, “If I win, then you have to spend one whole day out of hiding with me. That means you come to my door like a normal person and escort me around the castle without disappearing into the shadows.”

His face sours at the thought, but he nods. “Very well. What is the prize if I win?”

Humming, I thoughtfully tap my finger to my lips. “If you win…” My eyes shift to his as I shrug. “I don’t know. What do you want if you win?”

His chocolate eyes turn thoughtful before they are engulfed in black. There’s a soft smirk on his face when he looks at me. “If I win that means I caught you, correct?”

Confused by the question, I nod hesitantly. “Yes.”

He stands to his full height and says, “Alright, I catch you, I get you. That is my prize.”

“Get me?”

He lifts a thumb to caress my lips, making me suck in a breath. “Did you think we couldn’t hear your screams echoing through the castle?”
