“Yeah, let's hurry the fuck up. I'm tired,” I mumble, shoving ahead and stomping up the stairs.

The halls are empty and only a few grunts and moans can be heard behind the doors as we walk down the hall.

Reaching my room, I curse. Mason is screaming inside, and I drop the bags and slam my head against the door.

“Damn that sounds heated,” Henry mutters, and I think this is the first time I've heard him speak.

Shivers run down my spine at the gravel tone and my eyebrows furrow.

“So you guys want another roommate tonight. I really do need to sleep. I have to grade some papers for Professor Adlins in the morning.”

Maddox laughs, then slams his palm against the door, right by my head, making me jump.

“Hey fucker, open the damn door,” he growls, and I scoff.

Henry smiles, and I can't help noticing how it makes his eyes brighten. He's cute… I guess.

Catching me looking I wink at him and his cheeks turn pink.

Maybe having a new roommate won't be the worst thing after all.

MADDOX

“Wait, you're leaving? I just got here!” I shout at my idiot brother. After listening to him whine and bitch about Ember for three hours last night, I passed out on the couch.

Harmony and Potter went into our room to sleep, and I can admit I was jealous that Potter got to sleep with her before me… Even if it was in separate beds across the room from each other.

I saw the way he was checking her out last night. Even though her disguise as a boy is pretty convincing.

Potter has always been fluid when it comes to his relationships. I'm the same way.

Mason is the one that doesn't like guys. Which is fine. He's never judged me for my lifestyle choices, and I leave him to do whatever the hell he wants… Well until now.

“You are not leaving to go chase after Ember in Rome.”

“Yes, I am. Can't you see how perfect this is, Mad? You can take my place here at school and get rid of that ridiculous costume.”

“Yeah, we may be twins dumbass, but I'm bigger than you. What, you think all these guys are going to think you bulked up in three weeks?”

“Trust me, no one will notice. If this was a co-ed school, maybe the girls would.”

“Can you guys stop yelling please.” Harmony exits our room and though she's wearing baggy shorts and a hoodie she's still hot as fuck.

“Hey,” Mason grunts her way, then turns around, continuing to pack his bag.

“Mas, this is dumb. How long are you planning to dip out on school for?”

Sometimes my brother is so stubborn there isn't any way to change his mind.

“Not long. Just go to my classes, practice, don't flunk out and it'll all be gravy,” he says, zipping his bag and walking toward the door.

“I owe you, bro. Have fun.” And with a wicked smirk on his lips, he opens the door and is gone, leaving a trail of his expensive cologne in his wake.

“Fuck,” I grumble, then reach up and remove the stupid wig from my head and the silicone on my nose.

“Woah, what are you doing?” Harmony squeals, rushing toward me, trying to stop me from destroying all of Rizo's hard work.

Countless hours plotting and sculpting ruined because of my idiotic twin.

“With Mason gone, I don't need to hide. Just play a new role,” I explain, and she sighs. Rubbing her temples, she begins to pace.

“Harmony, it's okay. This will work…”

“Famous last words, Maddox.”
