“You need to wipe that shit off, find your woman, and figure out how you’re going to fix your fuck up.”

Critical mission accepted.

Slapping Trouble on the shoulder, Odin declared, “Thanks, brother,” before pushing his way through the group, ignoring patrons seeking his attention, and to the hallway leading to the guest bathroom on the first floor.

Knocking hard, the door swung open, but it wasn’t Skathi standing there.

She must’ve gone to the one on the second floor. So, he hurried to the stairs, taking them two at a time. The second-floor bathroom was on the same side of the house as two of the most popular private rooms. The Circus Room, which was really a big open space with ottomans and reclining couches spread throughout. The room was meant for orgies. The other room was the Dark Room, the one Bonnie mentioned in her attempt to make Skathi uncomfortable.

Odin knew he was in for a fight with his warrior Goddess, and he knew exactly how he was going to handle it. The Dark Room was perfect for what he had in mind.

He’d make Skathi listen, he’d introduce her to the exquisite pleasure of submitted to her man, and he’d finally get to fuck her out of that dress.

Finally, standing before the bathroom door, he knocked. There was an annoyed groan then a shuffling as she moved toward the door. She knew it was him, he could feel the tension in her body thrumming from the other side of the hardwood.

“You can’t hide from me, Skathi,” he ground out. “We need to talk.”

The door unlocked and swung open.

He woman stood there, alright, but the anger and betrayal etched into her beautiful face made his insides churn.

“I think that if we talk right now, one of us will end up with a black eye and a bloody lip,” Skathi sneered, crossing her arms over her chest.

Odin stepped up to her until there wasn’t an inch between them, his arms brushing against his chest. He penned her in with his hands, one on each side of the doorframe. Leaning in until his mouth skimmed hers, he nearly smiled when a puff of air escaped her mouth.

His Skathi was mad but nervous. He could work with that.

“You think that I would ever hit you, Skathi?”

“You’d just stand there and let me hit you?” she asked, her expression incredulous.

He nodded. “After what you saw, I’d let you beat my ass then light my carcass on fire.”

At the mention of the scene earlier, Skathi threw her shoulders back and took a step further into the room. Oh no, she didn’t. He refused to let his woman retreat, especially since it was his fault she was wounded in the first place.

Lightning quick, Odin snatch Skathi into his arms and hauled her up and over his shoulder. She gasped, her body snapping straight as she struggled to jump down.

“Put me down before you break your back—or I break your face!” Gods, but she was angry. And he liked the fire. The fire was better than the ice.

Moving toward the door at the end of the corridor, Odin made quick work of securing Skathi to his shoulder using the band of his arm over her thighs and lower back. Certainly, she could use her feet to damage more sensitive parts of him, but he knew her struggle was more with herself than with him.

His Skathi was more than willing to stare down an opponent and then strike out at them, but he knew she was hurting…and wounded predators always lashed out when they couldn’t hide.

The Dark Room door opened easily and he hurried inside, kicking it shut with his foot. Skathi struggled harder, landing punches to his kidneys. He grunted, the pain worth it for the chance to get his Goddess alone.

Without warning her, he dropped her on the bed and landed over her, holding her down with his larger body. Shocked, she froze, her chest rising and falling with her desperate breaths. Her golden eyes wide and brimming with questions and pain.

And not the good kind.

Fix this!

“We will talk. You will listen. And then we will fuck. Because, Goddess, you cannot deny me your favor when all I want to do is worship you.”

Skathi tried to stop her forward momentum so she could get her bearings, but the massive beast behind her pushed her inside the room, slamming the door and locking hit behind them.

He didn’t speak, and she was glad, because she was on the verge of kicking him in the throat so he couldn’t speak at all.

She’d never been so humiliated before—even with Aaron, because Aaron never flaunted his other women in front of her. Odin, however, had begged her to come, making her feel like she was someone special to him, that he’d wanted to show her off. She’d put time and effort into looking good enough to be seen on his arm.
