Odin smirked at her, chuckling. “It was all about the tits, baby. You know your beautiful breasts are my weakness.”
She rolled her eyes. “Seriously, Odin.”
His gaze met hers and the smile slipped from his face.
“I remembered something Trouble told me right before I got your call about Tessa.”
“Oh? What did he say?”
“He said that you are a woman, yes, but you are also a highly-trained soldier, and a woman of loyalty and honor. If you were a man, those things alone would have had you at my back. The fact you’re a woman shouldn’t change that. But…Skathi….” He rubbed a fist over his heart. “You aren’t just any woman, you’remywoman. And if anything happens to you—”
Skathi was there in an instant, her arms around his waist, her chin in his chest, her eyes pinned to his. She held on, pouring her love and comfort into him, knowing she needed to give it just as much as he needed to receive it.
“Nothing is going to happen to me. Chances are, with the crew we have, we’ll come out on top. From what I’ve observed, with those men that came into the condo and took Tessa, they are disorganized. The abduction seemed off the cuff, poorly planned. They didn’t even kidnap the right woman. That doesn’t seem like the efforts of a group of criminals with the skill to put up much of a fight against former military badasses.”
Odin growled, kissing her, hard and deep.
“I love it when you cuss, baby. Makes me hard.”
She chuckled, slapping his chest. “Now isn’t the time for that.”
“Later then,” Odin asserted, and Skathi almost forgot that the reason she and Tessa had been at her condo was because Odin had hurt her.
Later. They’d talk later.
Trouble slid up beside Odin, thumping him hard on the back. “Alright, love birds, it’s time to kick this Madrigal pig and make ourselves some Tex-Mex.”
Skathi, Odin, and Trouble headed out of the clubhouse, stopping only long enough for Odin to grab aerial images of the warehouse from AFK.
For an MC, the Savage Raiders certainly had resources Skathi hadn’t expected, but definitely appreciated.
Trouble, on his bike, followed Odin and Skathi on his as they headed west into the desert, hunting for desert rats.
Skathi naked was breathtaking. Skathi in tactical gear, an AR-15 strapped to her back, balaclava in place over her mouth with only her flashing golden eyes visible. He nearly came in his pants.
There was something about a big, beautiful, courageous woman that also happened to be a warrior that did something to him.
He’d known she was a soldier, that she’d served her country and then spent years training fighters. He knew that in his head, had even seen her skill on the tactical range when they’d first been reunited. But now, standing beside her, preparing to raid the warehouse of a known criminal…. Honestly, he didn’t know whether to feel awed or terrified. Or both.
“You’re looking at me funny,” Skathi said, smirking. “Never seen a woman wearing tactical face wear before? Perhaps it’s the K-Bar strapped to my thigh…a bit too much?” Gods, the woman was teasing him, even though he knew she was scared shitless for her friend.
“You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen,” he admitted. She blushed, dropping her gaze to take herself in.
“Really? This does it for you?” she teased.
“After years in the sandbox staring at goat ass all day, anything starts lookin’ good,” Trouble interrupted, making Grimm and Hawk beside him chuckle.
Odin slapped the back of his head, making Trouble grunt and flinch.
“Report,” Odin barked.
“The warehouse is a standard new build of steel and support beams. The schematics AFK was able to find shows that it’s just one big room with three offices partitioned off on the side. Infrared shows a cluster of bodies at the back of the building. Only a few moving. There are another four men on the move in the main room, and three in the middle office. We can assume that one of those signatures is Madrigal, and another is Melgar. Those two are rarely apart. Sometimes, I wonder if they’re…you know….”
Another slap to the back of his head made him continue, his hand rubbing the back of his head where Odin had hit him.
“There are five perimeter guards, armed with M16s. They’re holding them like baby bundles, so they have no idea what the fuck they’re doin’. Probably randoms hired to fill slots in his human shield. He throws men at us long enough for him to get away.”
“Sounds like Madrigal,” Fang sneered. “Dirty up to his elbows in easy kills, but a fucking coward when it comes to facing a real opponent.”
