“When you walk in there, I want you to tune the voices in your head out that tell you otherwise. Understood?”

I open my eyes and nod in agreement.

He kisses me again, and I hate that I have to leave him like this and go inside. I just want to be out here with him, kissing him like this.

“Now, go show them what an A+ looks like.”

“Thank you, Logan,” I tell him, lifting on my toes and wrapping my arms around him. He returns the embrace, holding me as tight as he can.

“After graduation,” Logan whispers in my neck. “After graduation, we do this for real. Just a couple more weeks.”

I pull back, scanning his face for any ounce of uncertainty, but I fall short. There is none. He’s being serious.

He kisses me one more time before pulling away and letting me walk into the building.

I take a few steps before I turn around to face him again.

“You’re always showing up for me on your birthday, huh?”

He smirks. “You remembered?”

“I always remember when it comes to you.”

He shakes his head because he knows he’s used those exact words with me before. We both turn to go our separate ways.

There are no longer any questioning feelings in my mind.

I’m in love with Logan Bennett.
