"Those puppies could be used as weapons," Colt whispers in her ear.
Laughing, Lex and Colt separate to talk to the different gender groups. "Hey."
"I'm Everlee Banks. When I heard you were moving here, I was so excited!" Everlee looks to be in her mid-forties with a wide smile and slightly over-done makeup. "You have a reputation."
"Is that a good or a bad thing?"
"For the women? So good. For the men? Not so good. They don't fully understand how much we need more strong-willed women around here. Come, sit. I'll point out everyone to you."
No one other than some of the men is familiar to Lex, so even if Everlee plans to take her out with one swift swing of her chest, at least she had a friendly face to chat with for a while. And if Lex doesn't stop staring at the woman's overly-filled lips, Everlee may just decide to do exactly that.
That can't be comfortable. Can she even feel anything with those things? Like kissing? Or getting on her knees for her man?
"Okay, so who do you already know?"
Pulling away from her thoughts, Lex looks around. "Uh, Dax, Finnegan, and Mac," she says. "They're the only ones I've formally been introduced to. Everyone else I saw at the clubhouse, but I couldn't give you a name to save my life. Plus, the new guy in Griffin's Beach had me distracted. Wait until you see Undertaker."
Dax Hartman, the President of Summerville, stares at his beer as he looks lost in the world. No, not lost in the world. Lost his will to live. Losing a wife will do that to a man who deeply loves her, and it makes Lex sad.
The Vice President, Graham Finnegan, and Jamie "Mac" McBride, the Sergeant at Arms, were the spokesmen for the collective. They pushed the initiative to patch over.
"Tell me about this Undertaker," Everlee says, her long nails tapping the table excitedly.
"He's the largest man I've ever seen in my life. Like, huge. And he has the deepest voice I've ever heard. I couldn't say no if he offered to rock me to sleep while reading me a story," she says and fans her face as she remembers the newest Drifter in Griffin's Beach. "Colt hates it, but a girl can fantasize, right?"
Clapping, she laughs. "I love it! I knew we'd get along. Okay, so that's Snake, my man. Real name is Forest, but trust me when I say his nickname fits much better. Make no mistake about it, though, we're talking cobra, not garter snake. Our daughter, Marnie, is sitting over there at the bar with Sutton Cannon. She's Marvin Cannon's daughter, and he's right there."
And yet one more thing Melanie and Everlee have in common. They aren’t shy about talking about what their man has below the belt. "You're not really shy in any way, are you?"
"God, no! As you can probably tell, most of me is augmented. Just the way my baby likes it."
"You remind me so much of my friend in Griffin's Beach. But you kind of look like a mix of her and another old lady, Goldie."
"Trunk's widow? I know her. We're cousins, actually. Tell me about Melanie."
This makes perfect sense now. "She's blonde, but she's... augmented, too. Not quite as large and in charge as your chest is there, but she's got a smaller frame. She'd tip over if she went any larger than she is now."
"And she loves sex?"
"More than breathing," Lex says and laughs. "Her man's hung like a horse, and before you ask, I've seen pictures. Because he's pierced. A very shiny horse. That thing has more bars than a playground, and she is proud enough to show everyone."
"You're kidding! I would love for Snake to get pierced, but I did instead."
Leaning forward, Lex puts her chin in her hand, fascinated. "Where, exactly?"
"Where else? Clit hood and triangle. Basically, my clit gets so rubbed I see stars every time."
"No shit."
"And my nipples and tongue are also pierced."
Wow. "Ouch?"
"So worth it. How about you?"
"Nope, completely as God made me. Although the piercings have me intrigued."
"Do you have issues getting off?"
