Charlie awoketo throbbing temples and a mouth that tasted like old flannel.

He must’ve had a hell of a night.

He lifted a hand and saw Christmas tinsel wrapped around his wrist. Puzzled, he reached up to see what the extra weight on his head was.

A Santa hat.

Charlie’s brows rose. A hell of a night.

He felt the unaccustomed heat of a body next to his and shifted to see how lucky he’d gotten.

Audra.

A delighted grin broke out on his face. He’d hit the jackpot.

He concentrated hard. Bits and pieces of the previous evening filtered through.

A lot of punch. Mistletoe. Two—or was it three?—very sexy interludes with the woman curled up beside him.

Charlie sincerely hoped all the memories came back. He’d waited a long time to get Audra into his bed.

He gently rubbed her shoulder. Audra grumbled something unintelligible and burrowed deeper into the sheets.

Charlie swallowed a laugh. So, she wasn’t a morning person.

He swung his legs to the floor and grimaced as the headache intensified. A shower, some Advil and coffee, and he’d be nearly back to normal. He headed off to the bathroom.

The tantalizingscent of coffee roused Audra from the cozy world of half-sleep.

She cracked open her eyes, fuzzily taking in the unfamiliar bedroom. Realization stuck, and she shot to a sitting position.

Charlie. Sex.

So much hot sex.

Audra sighed. While she didn’t regret it, she chastised herself for succumbing to temptation.

She crawled from the bed, looking around for her clothes.

All she could find was a warm looking blue robe and the pair of reindeer antlers thrown onto a corner chair.

She couldn’t stop the pleased snicker that escaped as she remembered tossing the ears over her shoulder during round two.

Audra belted the robe and opened the door, following the smell of coffee.

She found Charlie sitting on the sofa, sipping from a large white mug.

He beamed at her. “Good morning. Want a cup?”

“More than life.”

Charlie chuckled. “How do you take it?”

“Strong and black.”

“A woman after my own heart.”

He retreated to the kitchen area as Audra glanced around. There was a trail of clothing that started at the front door and led to the bedroom.
